Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. United StatesRoom needed vacuumed. Desk light did not work leaving that side of the room dark. Ceiling leak to the right of the bed. Someone had put coffee grounds in the coffee maker making it impossible to use in the morning. We left at 4:30 am and had to stop for coffee.
We liked the location. Easy on and off of the highway. Disappointed that no list of nearby restaurants was on hand.

United StatesThere was an "unattended" dog in the room below us... It barked non-stop for hours waiting on its owner to return. The bed, while clean & inviting, was extremely uncomfortable. The cleaning staff knocked on our door; waking me up; two hours prior to check out time.
The front desk staff was great; very pleasant & hospitable. Check in was a breeze. Check out was smooth & easy as well. Staff members deserve an A+

United StatesDidn't like the yuck on our room ceiling , the smell of the 2nd floor was bad, ice machine only on 1st floor, and the elevators were a bit janky. The pb and j bar from 7-11 that was promised over the weekend never happened.
Breakfast was great, it was hot, and there were plenty of options . Would have like a potato option with hot food, but eggs and sausage and biscuits/gravy were good. The staff was absolutely lovely and got us everything we needed. Check in and check out were so easy.

United States4 floors and only ice maker working was on 3rd floor. That was totally unacceptable to us as we were on 2nd floor. Toilets are too low. Need to be replaced with higher toilets. Furniture in suite was old and worn looking. Hotel definitely needs some updates.
When we arrived we proceeded to room. The room door was open and room was not made up. Went back to front desk and told desk clerk of the situation. She apologized and upgraded us to a suite. We appreciated that courtesy Breakfast was excellent.

The location was perfect for our visit to EWTN in Irondale and very close to downtown Birmingham. Breakfast was GREAT- plenty of hot options: eggs, meats, biscuits and gravy; juice, milk, coffee, yogurt, fresh fruit, pastries and hot cinnamon rolls. I did enjoy the rolls which are a nice option when there are no waffles. I did not miss the mess which usually surrounds the waffle maker area! The exercise room was nicely appointed with weights, elliptical and treadmills
