Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesSmall room made it hard for a couple to move around and lay out suitcases.
Good location near Mt. Rainier. Clean. Had AC which was necessary on the hot day we were there. Packwood Brewing across the street had great beer selection and healthy food.

United StatesThe room we stayed in was rather small and could have used a bit more storage.
The hotel feels like a turn-of-the-century boarding house, in the best way. The bathroom was immaculately cleaned (though shared with one other room). The arrival was easy after hours. The property is adorable and looks much better in person than in the pictures. There is a coffee shop literally across the street with great scones. Coffee and tea are provided.

No breakfast, but coffee and tea, large fridge and microwave, dishware in the kitchen area for community use. A lot of love was put into restoring this historic building. Staff were wonderful

United StatesRoom very small but just enough. If traveling with more luggage, the room would not be large enough.
Very quaint historic hotel. Since there was no TV or fast paced activities, it forced us to chill out. Decor was beautiful.

What a fun experience. Very clean and charming. I was a little nervous about the shared bathroom, but it turned out not to be a problem at all. We walked to dinner . Breakfast was across the street with great coffee. Give this hotel a try. I bet you will like it.

United StatesNot docking points here because it was clearly outlined when I was booking, but I selected a room with a “shared bathroom.” You had to go out into/down the hallway to access the bathroom. (In my head I had envisioned it being connected to the bedroom joint-suite-style - but that was just my own assumption.) The bathroom was reserved to be shared with only one other room on the floor and it was always available when I needed it. It was clean and bright. Was just “different” to have to walk down a hall to access, and I felt guilty early in the morning making noise on the creaky floor boards. But a nice touch was the bath robes in the rooms - very handy! Just be mentally prepared that this is different than having your own/connected bathroom, obviously, so took getting used to.
Comfortable, clean, and quaint! I imagine one of the nicest options in the area. The bed was extremely comfortable. Absolutely perfect location for accessing Mount Rainier National Park (Paradise & Sunrise). Only 20 minutes to the base entrance to Paradise/Silver Falls trail. Walking distance to the town grocery store and across the street from a fun microbrewery that had live music one of the evenings I was in town. A neat, thoughtfully curated space. Nice wrap-around porch with plenty of seating; saw some elk walk right by!

United Statesnothing! the shared bathroom was not an issue and never in use when we needed
we stopped here on our way to Mt. Rainier. It is such a cute and well done restoration that keeps the historical charm with perfect updates. everything was nice—the common areas, the room and bed, and the bathroom and shower and everything was super sleek and clean! The little details are also perfect! Providing coffee, kettle, reusable utensils, and filtered water in dinning area to providing extra blankets in the living room area, and rocking chairs on the wrap around porch. This stay has a whole vibe and it’s great!

The property really is a historic hotel that has been updated beautifully. It’s the perfect place to stay for solo trips, with cozy and comfortable rooms that have all you need to sleep (bed, bath, and a place to set your bag), and a downstairs kitchenette in the dining room where coffee is available at any time as well as a communal fridge to keep any perishables. There is AC, and it works wonderfully (it was 100°+ during my stay, but I was cool and comfortable inside). I will be staying here again on my future trips to Rainier, and would recommend it for anyone looking to get a little bit off grid (but not too far) and enjoy some alone time.
