United StatesThe elevator was always out of service, the room temperature was too cold or hot and we couldn't adjust it, the kitchenett was too small, the pool was very dirty and we needed more or larger trash cans. The suite and pool were backward. Upon entering the room with an ocean front there should be a pull out couch and desk first versus the king bed on the street side. The outside pool should be on the ocean side

United StatesHaving stayed up and down Atlantic over the last 16yrs, I found it a little pricey. Also, and this isn’t just this hotel, but this valet/offsite parking they’re all going to sucks! Finally, I had planned to leave a tip for both our housekeeper and the two guys who got our car consistently, however what I didn’t like was a gentleman I hardly ever saw (twice in 7 days) tell/ask me if I was going to take care of the guys. I read other comments that this happened to others as well, they need to control him and make him stop cornering people. Hopefully management reads these and will act accordingly. But that was my only negative experience so not too bad for a week long stay.
The location was fantastic, the boardwalk is located a few steps out of the rear doors and Atlantic Ave with restaurants and shops directly across the street out front. Staff is always friendly and willing to help. Cleanliness, there were always staff members cleaning somewhere and our room was great. Beds are comfortable and the ocean view from the 11th floor spectacular. On top all this we were able to bring our Papillion with us, so he got a vacation too. Would definitely book again!!!

United StatesWith the exception of the front desk staff and the crew members in the Lager restaurant who were amazing, some of the staff are not very friendly. The waitress in the breakfast restaurant was really nice but the lady who brings the food to the table has an attitude for no reason. She did seem to change until I gave her a tip bc she did a great job with bringing the food. The cleaning crew acts like it's a crime to give the greeting of the day. The older African American valet attendant tried to extort money out of us. On day one, he told us that we needed to "take care" of his boys bc they only get paid tips. None of the other valet attendants told us anything like that. Honestly, we are not opposed to giving them a tip, but to tell us it's basically mandatory felt like harassment. I knew he was lying, and it was confirmed when I reported him to the front desk. After, I'm sure they spoke to him, he avoided us the rest of our stay. We decided to park our own vehicle on day 2 when we requested our vehicle, and while getting ready to leave, he told my husband, "You can just get me when you come back." We are already paying $30 per day, and he expects us to pay him an additional $10 anytime we request our vehicle?! Imagine how many people he's running this scam on and how much he's making off of families just trying to enjoy their vacation on top of his regular pay. Parking in the garage is $20 per day, $30 for valet, and $25 if you want the hotel to validate your parking. Honestly, if you're never going to move your vehicle several times a day, just park your own vehicle. If you are going to leave a lot, have them validate your parking. The parking garage is literally a minute walk across the street. We were valeting bc I just recently had ankle surgery and can't walk too far.
The hotel is very clean, and the beds are comfortable, the hotel is in walking distance of restaurants and shopping, activities are less than 10 minutes away. Walmart is 3 miles away. I felt very safe. The locals are friendly. The beach is very clean. The hotel offers breakfast, which my 10 yr old really enjoyed. They give you plenty.

My Best friend and I stay at this hotel every year. We just love it. The staff make you feel special. The rooms are always clean. It's a great place to relax. We don't for anything.

United StatesThe floor in our room was very wet probably due to severe rain from hurricane Helena on Sept. 27. Condensation was on everything, causing dampness on floor, bedding and all surfaces. After we mopped up and wiped everything down, the next two days were fine.

United StatesWell, regardless if you parked your own vehicle or opted to use valet parking, they charged you an extra $25 a day. I didn't agree with that policy because parking should be included with your stay. They had a big parking garage right across the street from the hotel in which they parked vehicles. Upon arrival I parked right out front but still was charged for valet parking. I parked my vehicle on Sunday and it didn't move until I checked out the following Saturday. There are many hotels along Atlantic Ave that do not charge guest for parking which is included in their stay.

During our stay at the Hilton we loved the indoor and outside pool areas. They were great for the kids during our stay, The location of the hotel was also spot on. I was able to exit the hotel at anything and have access to everything. The beds were also super comfy!!

United StatesWhen I booked my room I specifically asked for a room that was on a lower floor since we were traveling with a 2 year old and a 5 year old. I ended up on the 14th floor and there was no way to change it. It made our stay a lot more stressful due to the balcony being so high and the kids unable to be outside. My room was not cleaned one time during my stay. I requested it be cleaned after the second night. I also asked for towels repeatedly and did not get them until late in the day.
The staff was pleasant. I most enjoyed the lounge/dining staff.
