Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

SwitzerlandThe area is a bit industrial with distribution warehouses and office parks in the surrounding area. So there weren’t many dining options or coffee shops nearby. As a result, we ate breakfast in the hotel, and it was just ok (despite being described as “great” by the staff). Next time, I’ll stay a bit farther south or closer to the city.
The gym was very nice, with a set of free weights, machines, treadmills, yoga equipment, and a peloton. The beds were comfortable, and the TV was huge (although we didn’t turn it on). The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is just a few minutes from the airport, which is convenient for us since we were just driving to Salt Lake City and then flying out the next day.

United StatesI am totally disappointed with Booking.com they listed the rooms at $135 and we are charged a total of $490.43 for the rooms. The hotel said the price was higher than their price. I will avoid using Booking.com in the future and also inform friends of our experience.
We left before breakfast was served. Their restaurant was conviently available which was very important to us, and very accomidating for children.

I got a welcome email from Booking.com two days later for my stay and of course, the charges were made timely so I had to deal with the double charges situation for two days to get it straightened out. I won’t be using Booking.com again anytime soon.
