Rooms are a bit small, lack a proper view, but fine for our stay. The hotel is located very close to the Hilo airport, but besides a few planes in the morning that didn’t bother us at all!

The hotel is very nicely set up, great common areas and a very nice pool. From the outside we may have been doubtful but the way it is set up is very nice. The rooms are small for 4 people, but we were not there to stay in the room. Some great beaches not to far away with terrific snorkeling and coconut island is only a few minutes away by free provided bikes.

Did not care for the Shower. Both Shower & hand held Shower went on at the same time so water pressure was very low. Could not turn off hand held part.

To be honest, the room was very small for four people. The beds are only 130cm wide, quite small for a double. Also the cleaning could have been better. The town is very outdated compared to other parts of Big Island.

The pool and common areas are really nice. The price is affordable and the location so close to the airport is great when you have an early flight.

The bathroom needed some updating. An area of the ceiling over the shower was wet and peeling off due to moisture/ mold. The wall unit ac was also not super efficient.

The Staff and the common areas were amazing! Locations couldn’t be beat. Also lots of little “extras” in the room- like diffuser, sound machine, humidifier…

The refrigerator in our room was very unsteady and could have fallen off the weak shelf. We had three rooms. Two were next to each other. But the third was not very close. However, that was not a big issue with us.

Staff was wonderful. We arrived early and they were very helpful in letting us drop off all our luggage there.

The bathroom was old, the watertemperature was difficult to adjust and the showerhead was way too low and old.

Quite noisy but there were a large group of young kids - not due to the hotel. A basic tea making facility in the room is essential these days.

Located on the Banyan drive which is central and a lovely location. The room was basic but clean and smart. The Coconut Grove next door is a good place for breakfast

We loved it here. Especially the fact that it’s an environmentally conscious and thoughtfully run place. The staff is incredibly kind and genuinely lovable. The hotel is in a great location—just outside downtown Hilo, which keeps things quieter, but still close to some lovely beaches like Coconut Beach. The rooms are spacious, the pool is beautiful, there’s a gym on-site, and they even offer free paddle boards. A really enjoyable and well-rounded stay.

Very calm and relaxing place and the pool was refreshing and quiet. I liked the values of the hotel supporting local charities and rooms without TV and clocks to help you switch off.

The only thing was that we had a room facing the little pation where people were passing by our window so we could not open the window any time. I guess there are better situated rooms in the hozel. Other than this, we were satisfied.

The design the style as well as the service was great. We also liked the location of the hotel - despite veing very close to the airport, this did not bother us.

No lift. Rooms felt quite exposed as the wall facing out was plastic shutters.

Bed was comfortable. Clean. Free parking directly across the street. Decor was nice but rooms very dated.

2nd room, 2 nites, checked in and bathroom sink was clogged. Had a maintenance person came at nite to unclog sink then he came also the next day since small children was in room and needed rest. Not a big deal, things happens with an older building. I Understand coming from working in the Travel industry too. ( Hskpg Mgr.-ret.)

Easy check in- easy check out! Friendly staff- clean safe property. Ease on a room move due to having 2 young children and didn’t want to carry them and articles up 3 flights of stairs. Appreciate the helps Ivonne. She was very understanding.
