Only 2 towels for 2 adults for a week and the swamp cooler in the bed room is the only cooling unit. Living room rug is tripping hazard...(corner in main walk way rolled)

The road was a bit noisy. I think the main problem we had was directions getting to the property. Its in a rural setting and not easy to find from a fairly busy road. All we were given was an address and a very small section of Google Maps. When I clicked on the address, a number of different locations showed up. So, if you are trying to find this place driving on US 550 north from Durango, when you get to Hermosa keep going north until you get to mile marker 33. The rental is the second driveway on the left just over a small rise in the road. Be careful because there is no left turn lane. If you see Honeyville or James Ranch, you've gone too far.

This location was a nice upper floor of a house that was located about 10 miles outside of Durango, CO. It was fairly quiet except for some road noise and the trains that went by in the morning and late afternoon. The views of the night sky were excellent. Inside, the rental was clean and looked to be either fairly newly renovated or very well cared for. The kitchen was fully furnished, the furniture was comfortable and the shower was huge. Overall, this location is a nice, cozy place to get away for a few days in the mountains.

Although the mattress seemed to be of high quality, I found it rather firm. However, I slept soundly on my second night due to exhaustion. I believe upon check-out it's a policy to wash the bed linens before leaving the Airbnb. I noticed residual water, hair, and a little mildew in the rubber ring around the opening of the washing machine. I have had a similar experience with another Airbnb. Although I started a load of the bedding, doing so gave me pause. I took a photo of this issue, just in case.

I appreciated the ample space, serenity, and quiet. I enjoyed the location and convenient access to Durango, Vallecito Lake, Durango Hot Springs, and local shops and restaurants. I highly recommend James Ranch Grill and Hermosa Creek Grill to future visitors to Hermosa/Durango.

If you're returning from Durango at night, the driveway is hard to spot - I drove past it a couple times, then had to do a U-Turn when I reached the honey distillery a block up the road.

I rented this lovely house for five nights while I skied at Purgatory Resort ("Purg" in the local vernacular). It's fifteen minutes away from the resort, and a ten-minute drive to Durango. It was really ideally situated. The house has been nicely updated, and the views of the San Juan Mountains across the valley are stunning.

Nothing while we were there! I would recommend having someone you know book the other apartment if you’re traveling with enough people to do so. Just more comfy having someone you know above or below you.

The couch had what seemed to be white stains and made my fiancee uncomfortable to sit on it. The bathroom sink seemed to be clogged and drained slow. Not sure if heat was rising from the downstairs guest, but we had the heater off and it was uncomfortable to sleep the 2nd and 3rd night. We wanted to open a window to cool down, but the one time we did, on the first night, we had the biggest moth fly in and invade the space

The location of the property and the view are amazing! The home was well equipped and provided a nice amount of privacy. It's super close to Durango, which is why we visited, and the drive gave exceptional scenes.

Here’s the issue why your total rating is just decent. The amount of emails (15) and texts (well over 15) is far too excessive. All that’s need is a confirmation and then an arrival instruction message. Whether it’s from booking.com or Vacasa is irrelevant, it’s far too many and has driven me from using this home in the future. Plus the fact that you asked me to have to download a Vacasa app to confirm reservation and then having to sign an additional contract after using booking.com is absolute overkill. The entire process takes way too much effort on clients part.

Like I said, the house itself was great, but when booking, it is listed on booking.com as an air conditioned place. There is no air conditioning. There is a tiny window unit in the bedroom that blows in outside air. There was a note that said, "Please enjoy natures air conditioning" to open the doors and windows and use the fans. However, directly next to that note said the living room fan didn't work. The windows don't have cranks on them to open them, so they just swing open, and there are no screens on the windows, so if you open the windows and doors, the bugs come directly in. At 7 p.m., it was 84° in the house and didn't cool down. It was very uncomfortable. They did have plug-in fans to help, but when it is that hott, it isn't really useful. If it wasn't listed with air conditioning, I would have had different expectations.

The house itself was beautiful and was a good place to stay. Check-in was really easy and convenient. The kitchen was beautiful and stocked with everything you needed. The living room was a nice place to relax, and the pillows were super comfy. There were extra towels with shampoo and makeup wipes, which is a great little touch. There were laundry pods if you had to do laundry, the house was equipped with everything!

Property listing was very deceptive when it said property was air conditioned! Bedroom had a small window unit. Living room, kitchen, bathroom had no air conditioning. Note said to open windows. Three windows opened, but only one had a screen. Ceiling fan in living room did not work.

Kitchen was very nice.
