How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Shower could definitely use some work. Pressure wasn’t that great and there was no way to adjust shower heads. Handle was broke off or inoperative.

The pillows on the bed was the only thing I saw wrong with my stay. They were way too thick and I couldn’t lay on them. The pool bar closed way too early for this time of year

Verified reviewWe actually had Dunkin Donuts... One of the things I look forward to when I visit the hotel.. 😆. We live in New Orleans, and there is not a Dunkin Donuts .. but I can tell you going to sleep in a hotel, no matter how extraordinary it is .. is always lonely.. but waking up at Hard Rock, is warm and welcoming with the sunshine to start a beautiful day! I love staying with you! Can't wait to return.
The pool closes at 8.. we just arrived at 5 and after we got settled in and ate dinner.. we though we might go relax by the pool to end the evening. We got ran off. If check in is at 4.. could the pool stay open until at least 10??

Verified reviewThe staff couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful. Everyone was wonderful from checkin to the pool to the casino. The housekeeping staff was so nice! The room was really clean. The elevators are fast, we never waited long for one. Parking is ample and we were always able to get close to the door. Beautiful view of the Gulf. The music is upbeat and while that's not our thing, this would be an excellent place to go party for the weekend. The casino is fun and apparently there's a dance club on Saturday nights-a guy in the elevator told us about it. There was a DJ/ party at the pool on Sunday.
The whole property was way too smoky. I had to wash all my clothes when I got home, not just the ones I wore. The room was worn out. The beds weren't comfortable. The door to the cupboard that the fridge was in was falling off. The weird, shower-like door to the bath/toilet area hung on a really noisy track. Very little bathroom privacy. I'd never go here with anyone but my spouse because of the lack of privacy. On Sunday I think they open the pool to anyone who wants to pay to get in, not just guests. It was so packed we didn't go in. It is supposed to open at 8 am but at 8:25 on Tuesday there were no towels. Doors to the parking garage didn't open automatically- really inconvenient for luggage.

We had a non-smoking room . I sleep with a CPAP machine when we got home my machine smelled so bad from the smoke and all of our clothes smelled nothing but the smoke it was disgusting.
