The wifi was a little difficult to get on - took me many attempts and some patience to get my laptop to connect. The hotel did offer a "wifi helpline", though I didn't need it in the end. The air conditioning in the hotel is a little extreme, to the point it stopped us from visiting the indoor bar or restaurant... the hallway to our room felt like an arctic wind tunnel... but thankfully we could adjust our room. My main complaint would be the hotel's unwillingness to just cancel one night of my booking at the price I paid for it (as I booked one night at the new Helios Grand once it opened). They wouldn't - they would have made me cancel the whole 5 night booking and rebook 4 nights at a much higher price than the original 5 nights. So I kept the booking, checked in early and used the express passes that day... then went to sleep at Helios Grand with an overnight bag.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable, the location great, and of course the Express passes are amazing. Staff were lovely - the guy from the gift shop gave me the tape from under his counter for me to use for our packing (tying light sabers together for travelling in hand luggage, haha).

We love staying here. The staff, the restaurants, the pool, the vibe, and location are awesome. Love hanging at the bar, late night.

A bit more information about what food was available around the hotel would have been good as we ordered a pizza for our son through room service as couldn't see another way to get him one and then discovered the next morning we could have got one from the coffee shop downstairs.

Cat who checked us in was fantastic and had a room ready for us as soon as we arrived in the morning.

Great location for the universal parks. Loved the vibe with rock music playing everywhere at the right level in the background. We enjoyed arriving at Universal in style on the boat but is probably a 10min walk as well so super close. We also really enjoyed the pool and waterslide. Watching a movie in the nice warm pool till 10pm was a great experience. Food and drinks were very nice as you’d expect, and hope, given the 5* prices.

Nothing about the hotel itself - however, don’t bother taking the boat to the parks. We waited 20 minutes for and the boat still hadn’t arrived (after being told it will be “about 5 mins”). Everyone ended up giving up and walking to the parks (which took 5 minutes) so we wasted quite a bit of time.

Loved this hotel! Fast passes and early entry for the parks included in our stay! Great pool! Great food and cocktails! Short walk to universal studios and IOA! Super friendly and attentive staff! Both at the reception and pool bar! Will definitely stay again!

Difficult to check in. Desk clerk listed my Last Name of Edwards Sr as my first name. Made it difficult to sign up for premium wi-fi.

The walls are thin so could hear rooms either side, had one side with screaming children for most of the night. It’s good the be excited on holiday but this was just a lot of noise

We wanted to try the breakfast buffet at the kitchen restaurant but we thought it was a little pricey especially for our 6 year old who is quite a fussy eater, but I suppose that's what you pay at a top hotel

The staff were great and welcoming. Location is so good. Only a 5 mins walk to city walk and the parks. The rooms were spacious and we all had a great night's sleep. We got upgraded to a pool view from a standard room as I said it was our anniversary and we were celebrating a birthday. The birthday girl also got a free dessert from one of the restaurants. Another bonus was the universal unlimited express passes you get with staying at the hotel. Would highly recommend staying here for a few nights just to get the unlimited express passes.

We waited until 5 o'clock and the room was not clean.

The kids loved the pool and slides. The biggest advantage, of course, was the easy access to Universal theme parks and the fast-track passes. Being able to play guitar in the room was a nice surprise for us. The cafe's pizzas are excellent.
