I had a really pleasant stay at this booking. The shared room was exactly as described—cozy, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a short trip. The bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the nice desk area which was perfect for getting a bit of work done. The host jessie was very welcoming and respectful of privacy, yet available when I had questions. Check-in was little complicated and communication was excellent throughout. The shared spaces (bathroom, kitchen, etc.) were always tidy and well-maintained. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this place and would be happy to stay again!

The only minor reason I didn’t give a full 10/10 was that the property has no locker for your valuable items (passport, laptop..etc). Nothing major.

The host (Jessie) was very friendly and helpful. 2 days before I arrived, I requested to drop my luggage in the early morning around 8:30am. The host actually prepared the room and waited for me to arrive. The host responded to my messages within a few hours. On the check out day, I requested to leave my luggage at the premises as I wanted to have a tour in the city. She changed the access code so I can enter the premises before 10pm instead of 11am. Actually, I collected my luggage after lunch although she thought that I might spend the whole day in the city. she was thoughtful.

The only thing that was less than stellar was sleeping in the same room with the other guests, but that is what it is, some of the other guests were a little inconsiderate.

Staff was great and always responded quickly. Location is great too imo, very close to a ton of shops and restaurants and of course easy access to public transportation. I had a good stay!

Dee was extremely welcoming and friendly. He told us where to visit in Chicago and made sure to facilitate our check in and stay overall. The place, although shared, was clean.

The bed was not as comfortable as you might like. It made creaking noises, and the room was colder than the rest of the house.

The host was so kind and provided me with as much information and recommendations as I needed. It was easy to keep in touch and solve any issue. The house and common areas were super clean and well-maintained. The price was relatively good for Chicago.

The location of this place can be distressing to those who are not adventurous and object to staying in the midst of urban blight. From the outside of this house, you would not know that it is actually your place to stay. The front "mudroom" is a bit cramped.

The person on site (Dee) is super friendly and helpful, even though he overlooked my earlier same-day text messages telling him when I was arriving later that day. The general house and my bedroom were very clean. Let me say this: If you stay here with the right expectations (e.g., it's not even a modest hotel, but more like a boarding house or hostel, with attendant amenities), this place will meet them. It is also very well located in relation to public transportation (the CTA and Metra trains, as well as the #55 bus to Midway Airport and to the University of Chicago).

There is no table or chair in the bedroom, so I have to place everything on the floor, which is not very convenient. The tub drains slowly, and the water takes a while to go down

There were a lot of rules that we didn't feel in a happy house at all. There were some guests who made noises at night, one was yelling but every night we tried to not do any talk thinking about we could bother someone else. Everyday the house was in darkness as they may try to save money. Moreover, the reservation was for a queen size bed and we got a double bed, and the room was kinda dark as well.

The host was pending of us. Everything clean.

I know this has nothing to do with the house or the staff, but all the other guests in my room were such loud at snoring that I barely got any sleep the two nights they were there.

The co-host Dee was very welcoming and made people feel comfortable and accommodated at the house. Location was decent and beds were comfortable.

Only one things did not like … ppl showering 03am and using hairdryer ( noise 03am ) !!!!!! I couldn’t sleep coz of noise !!!! ( Coz of d marathon I need good sleep ) My room right beside d bathroom !!!! Over all Very good !!!!

It was a bit far from downtown but easily connected with public transport (very close to bus stop and to metro station)

There are multiple hosts/co-hosts which made it confusing in the beginning. But they all respond fast and it was not an issue afterwards.

The location is very close to a train station and multiple bus stops. There are some fast food restaurants nearby. The property is at a quiet neighbourhood.

Communication was choppy at times, coming from 2 different people. House walls are VERY thin so everything can be heard. No paper towels were provided.

Home was clean, staff was nice, neighborhood was safe and reasonably quiet.

The bed and pillows weren’t comfortable but it was just for 1 night so no biggie. The faucets on the sinks in both bathrooms leak when on. Luckily they had a cleaning rag in there to put down.

The host was very nice and down to earth, chatted with him for a while when we first checked in. The place was clean and quiet and I got to park right in front! Loved that part.
