How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The first room they gave me had a wet carpet from cleaning earlier. I feel like that should have been on a list to not give out…..they fixed it quickly and gave me another room. Also it was quite expensive for a hotel mid week in Rifle
The location was perfect for what I was in rifle for at the hospital. The breakfast was good. Bed was comfortable.

The pool could have been warmer it was freezing cold our kids couldn't even swim because it was so cold. No toilet paper in the bathroom when we arrived. Also bathroom didn't look like it had been cleaned bathroom sink leaks everywhere mad a huge mess. House keeper's where very disrespectful an do u speak a lick of English very rude house keeping staff. It's like they did as little as possible an called the rooms clean.
Breakfast was great good times in case u sleep in. Plenty of choices to pick from. Very nice staff making sure there enough for everyone

Toilet seat screw fell out and it was loose. Beds creaked. Fitted sheets were too small for the mattresses.
Good hot breakfast, nice shower, comfy beds. Lots of TV channels. Cookies in the lobby.

Bathroom sink hot water took a long time to heat up and sometimes it didn't at all. However the shower was very good.
Very nice room, Receptionists were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was very good with a nice variety of food.

Front desk was friendly and helpful except you needed to ring a bell most times as no one at the desk unless called. It would have been nice to be informed of no housekeeping services unless requested at check in.
Breakfast was great each morning, plenty of options and well stocked.

Location was great. Breakfast was average. Room was clean, but desk chair was broken and very dirty. When I reported it to the front desk, she asked if I broke it. Basically accused me. I assured her I hadn’t. I am 5’2” and 130. Pretty hard for me to break an office type chair. 😟

Wish there was a laundry room on each floor and didn’t have operating hours. Since you need a room key to get in not sure why it closes.

We booked a room with a king bed for an anniversary trip for 2 nights. When getting up the first morning to take a shower after a terrible nights sleep in a very hard bed, we had no hot water in the shower. The hot water in the sink worked. We had to wait for a room change which made us late for our plans. We were moved to a double queen room with an adjoining door to the room in the other side. We could hear everything in the room on the other side. Both queen beds were extremely squeaky, and shifted like they were going to break when we moved at all in the bed. The mattresses in both rooms were very hard and uncomfortable. We requested compensation for the inconvenience and the front desk staff only changed the price to reflect the double queen room rather than the king room rate. They tried to pass that off as compensation. When we pointed that out, the gave us a $7 discount from the queen room rate. They were not apologetic for the issues we experienced and seemed annoyed that we brought the concerns to their attention despite the fact that we were trying to be understanding. Not good customer service at all!

The fire alarm went off and one of our rooms at 11 pm just after dozing off and again about 5:30 AM. While still sleeping. In the second room fog/ steam from the bathroom set off the fire alarm.
The breakfast was good. The bed was comfortable.

We normally seek out Hampton Inns because we count on them to be clean and very hospitable. This facility, however, was a disappointment. It was outdated, not clean ( dirt clearly built up in the corners of the tiles), and was not outstanding in the way we have come to expect from Hampton Inns.
