How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The traffic noise was too much for me. The shower would NOT drain properly and i was standing in ankle deep soapy/dirty water by end of my shower. This is a huge negative! Drain in sink also could use a clean out. I worked in Hotel maintenance at a Best Western and we had to clean out drains multiple times a year. Failure to do so results in a gross experience for guests. additionally the tub drain itself was disconnected and just laying there. The hardware holding the window shading/screen was busted at the bottom mounting point, this made opening/closing just a bit more difficult. The bathroom door was a bit beat up and could use a fresh paint. the breakfast was lack luster, the juices were terrible/mostly water. Front desk girl was rather aloof/blase
The bed was very comfortable and the structure very solid i.e. NO SQUEAKY FLOORS! The rooms were very large and well appointed. Location next to Hospital was ideal as we had an appointment there for scans and it was a 4 hour drive.

I’m disabled and the very long walk from the elevator to the room was too long. Didn’t want to leave the room sometimes because it was too far to the elevator

On the outer limits of Carson city, nothing around really. , 40 min from lake Tahoe

The toilet in the bathroom was sluggish to flush. Breakfast was disappointing. Usually it's better than this time. Specifically found the scrambled eggs lacking in flavor. Needed salsa or shredded cheese to make them palatable.
The location was perfectly situated to be extra quiet yet close to everything Carson City has to offer. It's easy to access the hospital and medical offices. The quiet is important to me. The room was spotlessly clean. The air conditioning was efficient and also relatively quiet. I've stayed multiple times and will undoubtedly stay here again.

They double booked my room and somebody came into our room while our things were in it. Stopped my key and so I had to go to the desk and confused why I couldn’t get into my own room.
Friendly staff. Convenient location. Easy to access the highway.

Outside of elevator on 2nd floor smelled like alcohol....drinking not rubbing. Gross. Other than that very clean.

The person at the front desk (Hank) was awesome, went above and beyond to make our stay comfy. The pool was nice and breakfast was delicious.

Laundry room requires us to download an app to use the washer and dryer. Can be a plus point for others who prefer not to use coins.
Comfortable room and bed. Breakfast was great. Free flow of coffee, hot chocolate when we checked in, and cookies during the holiday season. Staff were excellent. Really pleased with our stay.

Anyone could get into the hotel at night time. Doors were not locked. You could walk in and go to any floor without using any sort of key. If person working the front desk stepped away for a moment there was nobody in lobby. Entire hotel does smell of smoke even though it’s non-smoking hotel.
Convenience to Highway. Great breakfast. Mornings staff was amazing.

The water in the swimming pool was cold.
