Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesIt had a sign as we got there that they were doing a “soft” renovation. I don’t recall seeing anything about that when we booked. There was no one at the desk the whole evening we checked in. The elevator creaked like it was about to break. The breakfast was sub-par. Basically not the high standards we have come to expect at Hampton Inn. However we were exhausted and our room was nice.
Location. Room was comfortable and clean. Bed was wonderful. Great shower and hot water.

The hotel was easy to find, located near lots of restaurants and not far from the places we were going. Also, the location was clean and maintained very well outside and inside. My daughter enjoyed the pool. The room was clean and spacious. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was good and coffee was even better. The shower worked great with ample hot water. Also, after checking out the cleaning staff discovered we left behind a shirt and they called me to let me know. They held on to the shirt for me to pick up later in the day and the front desk manager was so friendly and helpful.

United StatesThe room seemed sparse. No lights were by the beds, which is very unusual. Also, the pull down blind was mounted in such a manner that it allowed a floodlight from another hotel to shine onto my bed. I was able to lean something against the blind to block the light so I could sleep.
Parking was good. Breakfast was unremarkable, I don't remember it.
