How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I did not like rooms with children on the top. Families with children should stay on the first floor. Could not sleep good with kids running in the room ALL day and night!
The breakfast was the best part of my stay. The lady was so nice and helpful!

My room’s shower head wasn’t working properly, but because of the friendly service and staff I didn’t think much of it!

Haven’t visited this property since 2017. With all that said, they have remodeled. It needs a little work on the hallway floors as far as cleaning goes especially vacuuming. Others have left reviews about the smell of mold and mildew. There is a musky smell in the room and the hallway. We were on the 2nd floor. Not bad enough to not make me want to stay again but enough that needs to be focused on with the cleaners. I also didn’t care too much for during breakfast time, the workers seem to stand and watch everyone. 2nd washer in the laundry room doesn’t wash very good, leaves clothes smelling funny.
I enjoyed that it wasn’t right in the middle of downtown. So not busy as other places closer to the beach. Priced decently. Family friendly. Front desk ladies on night shift were very helpful. Bedding seemed very clean as well as rooms.

The breakfast was the same everyday and we stayed a week, so we got tired of the same old stuff.
The room was nice, the pool was fun, and the food was good. The staff were friendly, and the beds were so comfy!.

The rooms are very small. No dresser or places to store your clothes we got 4 hangers for a family of 4. The floors were making our feet black they were dirty. The pool needs to be replastered it ripped the skin off of my big toe. No plug for the tub so younger kids could bathe instead of shower. The bedding felt damp being so close to the air condition unit.
The price was extremely affordable we went to Gulf Shores during the middle of summer it was one of the most affordable places to stay very close to the beach, Topical Falls, and the outlet mall. Breakfast was good and the staff was extremely friendly. The other guest were all very pleasant and nice.

The room layout was strange. They needed way more counter space or an extra sink. We were told they were still remodeling so maybe that's in the works.
The location was fantastic and easy to get in and out of. The breakfast was good but had to get there early. Pool was nice.

Staff was rude. Room is pretty tiny and walls are very thin.

I didn’t like how they didn’t have phones in the room to call front desk. Ice machine barely work. Tub had a constant drip, while toilet would run every 5 minutes. Also they had nats flying around the room!
I like that it was minutes away from everything!

Room size , staff not too friendly when I was ready to check out , young woman was n back area and I had to ask for my receipt . No how was your stay or no smile jus have a good day walked off before i left the counter .
Breakfast was good. My son was excited to see pancake maker he enjoyed them. I was slightly disappoint of room it was smaller than I expected but it was fine for just us two.

Loud at night. Kids running up and down the hallways late. Especially the last night of our stay when we needed to get up early to leave the next day. Bad water pressure in the shower, fridge didn’t seem to work well.
