Reviews of First Choice Inn at the Swell 2 stars

Very quick to respond to our needs. We stayed with one night and ended up adding two nights. Each time we asked for an extension they were very quick too accommodate us. I never felt like I was being a pain for asking for what was needed. There were not frills or extras, but the was clean, the mattress was very comfortable. The cost was a great value.

This is certainly I place I world stay at again. Really not any problems or thingsI did not like. Breakfast was included. Very simple things. But it filled my empty dtomach.

They were hammering on a dryer until I complained about it at 11.30pm. Hot tub temp was 106 degrees. Way to hot

When we called to book a room the man was super nice. Said a late check out was an option as we were arriving after 3AM. Upon arrival the front desk guy was SO rude. Said that wasn’t an option at all and was just incredibly not helpful. The following morning house keeping kept banging on the door LONG before the regular check out time.

The location was great for our purposes. It had a warm decor that added to the overall comfort. It is RIGHT NEXT to a park with covered areas (pavilion tables). Great place to decompress after a long drive. There was a full tour bus that checked in while we were there. The staff was most impressive and we admired the way in which they processed and accommodated that many guests. The staff was a fine example of a good work ethic.

The signage within the town could be better, but that is something not in the hotel’s control.

We have a dog and they accept dogs. Breakfast was good.

The orange juice machine gave juice that was too watery.

Breakfast area was clean and food was wonderful. It was a nice start to our day since we had 6 hours to go. They also allowed pets which was a wonderful bonus!

We liked the breakfast. We liked the front desk clerk. He was nice and funny. The beds were nice.

Our room smelled of marijuana

Everything seemed clean, which is the most important part of staying in a hotel. There was an issue with shower not turning on (learned later that you need to pull stronger), but the receptionist swapped a room for us right away, and it was after midnight too (we arrived very late), so we really appreciated that. Breakfast was alright. I saw there was a trail along the river not too far from the hotel, but unfortunately didnt have a chance to go there.

There was a weird smell as we entered our room, but it wasn't too bad and didn't bother us during our stay, couldn't place what it was

The shower did not work. There was a short note on how to turn it on. After several tries we gave up. Front desk said we should have notified them.
