Breakfast should be identified as a continental breakfast to avoid disappointment. Mattress felt old—kind of lumpy. Pillows very hard. A little noisy but it quieted after midnight.

Location, friendly staff. Great rooftop bar. Like the espresso in the room. Bathroom great. Very nice overall “get away” experience and a very nice ambience.

We traveled to see our family stationed at the coast guard with his.mother in a wheelchair. Staff went out of their way to help in any and all ways. We picked a rainy weekend and played table games on their outside seating area to enjoy family time. Would of went to.rooftop.area to.relax yet the rain ,. Kept us inside. The front desk always smiling running for our ice, extra keys, the car and bandage as one had a cut that would not.stop. Owner you have great.staff who work as a team well. Thanks traveling with disability is harder. But not at the Birchwood.

Wonderful boutique hotel, great staff, lively roof top bar with great view, excellent restaurant for dinner, food was incredible. Room was gorgeous and bathroom with claw food slipper tub stunning!

Staff member in the morning helping with breakfast was rude and seemed extremely put out to be there. Very unpleasant personality for someone working behind the bar.

Huge ordeal in getting access into the room after one of our party went to sleep before the rest of us and when we tried to get in, we couldn’t. Staff tried. Fire Department had to be called at 2 am. The door was locked from the inside (not dead bolted) and a key to the room wouldn’t work. Not ok. Hotel staff should be able to access if there is an emergency.

Being that it is a bar, restaurant and hotel it gets a little noisy sometimes, but it wasn’t too much of a problem

The property was a beautiful historical property, and the location was excellent. The rooms are huge.

It was right on the street and got very noisy in the night. We had an issue with valeting our car. We had to hunt someone down to take care of it.

The location could not be better. On the waterfront and surrounded by amazing cafes/restaurants/bars. The breakfast was average. In a trendy and health-conscious city that St. Pete is, I would expect breakfast to have more organic and fewer carbohydrate-based and sugar-based options. But the only healthy option was bananas. There was no protein. And I was sad to sea there were no non-dairy milk options.

The property is in a great location, walking distance to any major attractions. The front desk team was amazing, very helpful and polite. The restaurant offers really well prepared food, excellent selection and great service. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, with impressive and unique design. The overall price is great, considering the quality.

Location to St Pete main front . Roof terrace really good . Old classic style hotel. Our upgraded bedroom overlooking park gave us a great view of St Pete .

Only watch out is that you can hear the street noise in the room and nightlife until close to midnight. It's not an issue for us, but if you're noise sensitive, this could be an issue. The room deco is exquisite! The breakfast is simple, just the very basics but enough to start and good quality. The location is fantastic. Ah, I wish they had available water in the lobby. I think that's a very basic treat that every hotel has these days, especially in that zone. But for any reason, they don't.
