Only comment is that one has to drive to a beach as there is not one at the property.

We stayed at Grassy Flats for 3 days in August. The property is beautiful- we had a room in adults only with balcony facing the water and overlooking the pool. We used the free paddle boards and kayaks which were great. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and the bathroom had 2 sinks which was very nice. They opened a casual restaurant and grocery store next door which was terrific. Manager Michael was friendly and had a great selection of gourmet but reasonably priced groceries. It was not clear on website that there is no beach at the property but staff directed us to nearby beaches and place to watch beautiful sunset. We went to Key West for half day- about 1.5 hr drive. Fun to see but rather tourist focused. Happy we stayed where we did. The only note about the hotel is that there is a smell from the surrounding area that may be displeasing to guests. Suggestion would be to sell scented candles or diffusers in lobby or store. Also the chairs on the balcony would be far more comfortable with cushions. However this is a wonderful place to stay in the Keys!

We enjoyed our stay here. Check in and out was great. We had a relatively quiet and peaceful. The balcony was nice to sit out on. The adult pool was warm and relaxing. The jacuzzi was nice and hot. We didn't use any of the watercraft, but there was plenty of room to enjoy those. I did enjoy the pier. Late at night we'd walk out to the chairs by the water and stare at the Milky Way and stars. Best stars I've seen since Blue Ridge Mountain. It was windy, but it felt great and kept mosquitoes away. Yes there was a strong smell, but apparently that's the smell of the Keys and Key West. You won't escape it no matter where you stay. You get used to it.

Ice machines are all broken. Ice available at restaurant, however and staff gladly supplied when asked. Furniture showing some wear!

The beds were a little bit uncomfortable. Maybe memory foam toppers could be added. Could not figure out the coffee machine, although it looked great. Maybe directions next to it would be great! The pool closed at sunset so was sad about that.

The staff was incredible from the welcoming lobby employees to the awesome fellow whom got us our kayaks. The employees were outstanding. The balcony was gorgeous! The room decor was beautiful! Nice to have all adult option. They had elevators that was nice! Felt very special there.

Nothing we didn’t like! Shower pressure wasn’t particularly strong/ but this might not be something that can be helped.

Amazing location. Beautiful beach area. Comfortable loungers round the pool. Relaxed laid back vibe . Friendly staff. Supermarket and bar within the property (land and sea) was excellent for breakfast . Complimentary kayaks.

Very well kept and maintained property but the ice maker didn't work and the freezer didn't freeze well. Also the jetted tub is much higher than a normal tub. It had enclosed glass doors over it which made it difficult for older people to get in and out of.

The beautiful shower had a difficult time getting hot- it was warm but not hot enough The ice maker was broken, so that made getting ice more of a challenge

The room was strangely cold no matter adjustments we made to AC, nothing terrible but could be better.

Great location on the water. You can watch the kite boarders all day. The new building and rooms are beautiful. Restaurant and bar, deck on site are nice.

That we had to go home.

We loved how the entire staff were so friendly and welcoming. They all worked together to make our stay memorable. Which is why we ended up extending our stay by another day. The food at all 3 restaurants were delicious. The drinks were tasty. The pool very relaxing. Our room was beautiful.

One little thing. Noise isolation is not good. You can hear your neighbor snoring. And the road noise is also bad.
