Beautiful large house in the ponderosa pines.

It would have been nice to have instructions on how to use the keypad to lock/unlock the front door. The horseshoe pits that were included in the listing were not there (looks like trees had been cut down and a fence had been built near them recently). Landscapers were still there and parked in the driveway after we got the text message saying we could check in. Note that the wifi name given was different than the one that the password was provided for.

The house was well-equipped with kitchenware and bedding. The space was spread out enough for two couples to share the house easily. The surrounding forest was beautiful.

Clean the windows, cut the grass no maintenance what so ever. Clean the deck. Buy new beds and liens. Add some kitchen utensils and plates etc. furniture was old and only sat 4 adults maybe. Clean the garage. Put mirrors over the sinks in the master for pete sakes. Great potential it just needs some TLC

    Great location

Beautiful home, but be prepared to freeze every night.

The first thing we noticed when we walked into the living room was the beautiful huge windows. However, not one of those windows had any window coverings. Like, None. So just be aware if you need a glass of water in the middle of the night, you might not want to show the whole neighborhood what you do or don't sleep in. Just sayin. The master bedroom was awesome. There was a huge walk-in closet & a beautiful master bathroom with walk-in shower. My husband was kinda annoyed with the fact that the bathroom mirror was hung in the middle of the two sinks. So when he was shaving, he had to keep stepping back and forth in front of the mirror, then to the sink instead of just being able to look up after rinsing his razor. The only drawback about the master, was that there's no door. You just walk up the stairs and there's just a partial wall you walk around and there's the bed. So there's pretty much no privacy. If you have any small children with you, you might want to bring a baby gate so they don't fall down the stairs. Ok, so those couple of things about the house were different than what we were used to, but we were able deal with them just fine. However, there was one major issue that I cannot overlook. So the first 2 nights, our 10yr old daughter was with us. When we were bringing our stuff inside after we first arrived, she mentioned how cold it was in the house. So I immediately went over to the thermostat controls and turned up the heat. It was preprogrammed on a schedule that said 68°, but it said that the internal temp was only 65°. So I turned it up to 70° thinking that maybe because the house is so big, that it loses heat quicker. So a couple hrs go by, and my daughter says she's still freezing. So I go look at the thermostat, and it still says the house is still only 65°. So I cranked it up to 85° to see if that would kick the heater on. An hour later I checked it, and the house only got to 66°.

The location was great. Quiet neighborhood, and surrounded by trees. The house is beautiful just as advertised. Having a garage to park one of our vehicles in, was a bonus. Everything was clean & well stocked with whatever we needed. Including the use of the washer & dryer, and they even provided laundry soap & dryer balls. The backyard is fenced for the dogs. However, our chihuahuas were small enough to fit thru the spaces in the gates, so don't leave your small animals unattended. I do have to give props to the owners or whoever chose the mattresses for the house. EVERY single mattress in that place was the MOST COMFORTABLE mattress we have ever laid on. I am extremely picky about mattresses. I've had back surgery, and find it difficult to get a restful sleep on any bed that's not my own. But these beds were absolutely hands down, top-of-the-line amazing!

There were no window treatments in main living area so take note if that bothers you. Grass a little long in back that made it a little hard to clean up after my dog.

Beautiful location; beautiful home! Very comfortable, clean and well stocked with most everything that you would need to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. Wonderful location with deer walking near your front door and oh so quiet!

The bed in the secondary bedroom appeared to have been made previous to our arrival, but after it had been slept in, when we were stripping the bed, we found a used facial tissue wadded up in the sheets.

It was quiet except for the wind whispering in the Pines, a most welcome and soothing sound.
