location is great. rooms and facilities are ok for the price.

no view from room. price is high for that. not good enough facilities. low lighting in rooms.

This is a fantastic value hotel. It's a 10 minute walk to Times Square, mins to a subway ( we used this a lot ), yes there are some interesting characters about but hey it's NYC. We never once felt uncomfortable. The staff were very friendly and accommodated our requests with a smile. The breakfast was great, a lot of choice, the kids loved the "make your own waffles" and the staff in the breakfast room were so good. The room was a good size, certainly for new york - always smaller than european rooms, but you are not going to spend a lot of time in the room. We would happily stay here again.

The water was discoloured as the day went on, we used bottled water to brush our teeth etc.

Great location, easy access to public transportation. Really convenient access to line 7 if you are attending US Open and wan to stay in the city. Plenty of dining choices and attractions nearby.

Not a silent place at night. You cam here all the city noises.

The staff was incredibly nice and friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. The hotel is well managed with a great staff. There is a 24 hr doorman/security. The entrance is locked after 10 pm and you can only get in with your room key. The hotel is close to Subway. The hotel is wonderful but just in an unfortunate area.

Visited 08/24/2025 - 08/27/2025. The hotel is great but is in an unfortunate area. The location is right next door to NYS DOCCs, Department of Corrections. The front of the hotel is clear however There was too much crime activity and unfavorable sights when walking near the property. Witnessed a woman selling pills, drug interactions, homeless people, people passed out on the sidewalk, and a man performing lewd acts. The property is close to an adult video store that turns to solicitors in the evening. Pot smoking is out of control just right down the street . Yes, all happening right down 40th Street from the Dept of Corrections. If you stay here, there is no way to avoid these sights if you are planning on walking to the subway or Times Square. I would not stay here with young children or teenagers.

The hotel was perfectly suitable for my four days long trip as a solo traveller, the staff's kindness and genuine helpfulness deeply impressed me and I would definetely choose them again for a second stay. Midtown was absolutely the best choice when it came to the places I wanted to explore.

included breakfast a bonus, but take heed, it gets vey busy, and elbow's will be knocked, and you will need a wry smile, food allergens are not shown for people who need to know! but staff are great in this area.

Was told I hadn't pre paid and was made to pay again on arrival!! I showed desk staff the Email and paperwork to show we had already paid, but to no avail! so I paid again as we needed to get to our room! and bit my lip and planned my strategy for the morning staff to help!

it seemed breakfast wasn’t included in my reservation and the staff came to ask for check while I was about to have breakfast with my kids. Kids got worried and kind of ruined their happy morning mood , staff didn’t care about picking the right time for such interruption . Anyway I fixed everything immediately at the reception and had to leave my kids by themselves in the restaurant , not a nice memory to be honest. Zero flexibility and totally unfriendly staff.

Unbelievably good - close to subway, really nice well priced bar on corner … v clean and excellent laundromat 2 minute walk away highly recommend

Neighbourhood is a bit shady but great if you are into cos play haha
