Excellent spot off the beaten path but close enough to attractions in Cape Ann.

Had to use the stairs. A third or fourth floor room is rough if you do not plan ahead and have to go up and down several times!

Breakfast was superb! The view of the ocean was so relaxing and picturesque, would definitely stay again!

The price for the size of the room and the 4th floor is just cruel and although knowing there was not an elevator was one thing but the last flight dangerous.

Beautifully appointed and the porch amazing, the food was excellent!

While the a/c kept it cool, the room felt a bit damp. Staff a was a little slow…it was late August yet they mostly (exception being one woman at breakfast who swooped in and started upping the pace of service exponentially) seemed to just be learning their roles and the property

Location! Outdoor spaces are really beautiful.

We truly enjoyed everything, down to the keychains for the room keys!

This quaint Victorian/old New England style inn was gorgeous. We chose a room that overlooked the ocean, and it was worth every penny - an absolutely stunning view. The room was small, but the space was optimized to be usable, comfortable, inviting, and elegant (blue and gold peacock wallpaper; thick, lush white bedding; air conditioning!). There wasn't quite enough room in the room for a coffee/tea maker, so each morning at the landings there were coffee, tea, and sweet bread choices. We had a delicious breakfast the first day: french croque monsieur. The second day we had to leave early to catch a whale watch tour, but the staff helped us grab what we could early (thank you!). You have to be able to take stairs, but that was part of the charm that we enjoyed. Parking was easy. Even my non-travel-loving husband loved this place. We will definitely be back.

My only complaint was the quality of complementary bath products. I had trouble squeezing the shampoo/conditioner/bath gel I am older and my hands are not as strong as they used to be Everything else was fantastic

Breakfast sandwich was not good at all. English muffin was hard and brittle. Pre-pandemic meals were very satisfying. The room was too pricey even with a spa bath and view of the ocean. Should offer AAA or AARP discounts.

Pancakes were delicious. Good choice of juices and pastries. Small refrigerator was added to our room upon request. Also a desk chair. Spa bath was delightful. Room view was breathtaking.

No elevator. They were eager to carry luggage if asked, but the inn is only fully accessed using stairs.

Location right on the coast, but an inn of older design so only half the rooms get an ocean view. Although an older property it offered a timeless charm and appeal. Staff were universally friendly and helpful. They are working out some kinks in their food service caused by consequences of the pandemic and not unique to this property. Our room had instant hot water in the shower.

The location was amazing and so was the staff I really liked the downstairs theater as well and the view by the ocean of course. But the breakfast choices were a little strange not much selection. The rooms were very small no water sprinkler for fire safety, no phone in the room, the bed was lopsided, and there were some stains on our towels and bedding. But overall We really did enjoy our stay and we would go there again.

This was a last minute booking for a quick getaway. You can’t beat the view and the huge covered porch overlooking it. My biggest surprise was the Coffee and Breakfast!!! Far beyond my expectations. Will definitely come back.

They have kept the charm of the older building. Great eating outside on the big porch, going in the salt water pool, good music playing, and good artwork. Air conditioning good, and enjoyed having coffee available in the hallway.

Didn’t realize we’d need a car! Car rentals were so expensive even for two days that we decided to take a Lyft from Boston not realizing it was close to impossible to get a taxi, LYFT or Uber to get around. We walked from the Inn to Rockport to eat and explore and had to walk back as well. over 4 miles round trip so LOTS of steps but hard on the old back. The Inn offers breakfast but no other meals at this time so you’re kind of stuck. I can’t blame the property for the lack of transportation

Beautiful restored inn with gorgeous views. The staff was absolutely amazing!
