Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeThe air condition was next to the bed blowing at our bodies which made it hard to manage the temperature. We solved it by building a blanket wall between the bed and air condition.
Amenities, cleanliness and location. Got to find the shortcut to the train station otherwise you’ll walk a big round which takes 10-12minutes

United StatesOnly things we needed that wasn’t supplied were wash cloths and silverware.
The location was amazing, so close to the train to New York. Also, I liked staying in an apartment it was perfect.

United StatesThe window shades are very thin, so a lot of sunlight fills the room. If you’re a light sleeper, definitely bring eye shades. (It would be great if the owner could install blackout shades :))
This was a clean, comfortable, quiet, bright studio in a great location; it was also a great value! Super close to the PATH train into NYC— a short walk. I’d definitely stay here again if I’m in the area!

United StatesStrangely there were no hand towels or washcloths so I had to sacrifice my bath towel the night we got there for everyone's hands. If I'd been smarter we could have just gotten paper towels from the kitchen
The place was immaculate, but I think we might have gotten the wrong unit. It still suited our purposes well, and I was surprised pleasantly to find laundry facilities too. It was decently appointed and very comfortable. There was almost an issue at check-in where something wasn't working to gain access, but somebody came from around the corner within probably 2 minutes at most and took care of it immediately. Hosts were very responsive and great with suggestions. Fantastic, convenient location, but my unit didn't have the city view that I think the post was supposed to have. Another thing that was nice was the bedroom and the living room had different climate controls so we could be quite comfortable, and the walk-in closet is the size of most New York City bedrooms! The hosts again were excellent and we will be rebooking in march. As a heads up just to be aware I think you only get one key to keep that in mind when planning with whoever you're with.

United StatesHonestly I can't think of anything we didn't like.
The location was perfect. Seriously. Short walk to Journal Square Metro station, restaurants, grocery store. Safe and quiet. Rana responded quickly to every need.

AustraliaNo towels and linens provided in the bathroom and kitchen. To be fair the items are not in the listing but I didn’t notice it as I just assumed a fully furnished apartment would have these basic items. Another thing is it has toaster, oven, microwave, cooking pans and even a coffee maker, but doesn’t have a kettle which in my view is more basic than a coffee machine. It feels off to have plates and utensils we can use and wash but no towels to wipe the bench or dry the dishes. We’ve specifically picked apartment with washing machine so we can travel light so didn’t expect we would need to purchase towels as they were provided in all the other apartments we’ve booked in different cities. I think providing these basic items will significantly improve the experience particularly for short term stays, as they complement the furnished apartment for people who travel light.
Convenient, spacious, relatively well furnished. Good security system. Very responsive host.

ColombiaA very strange part is that there’s a door with a sign that says “STORAGE.” I opened it by mistake, and it turned out to be a room where someone lives. It was clear that this person could access our apartment, which we found very strange and raises serious concerns about the privacy of the place. Although we have to mention that nothing was stolen, it still felt odd to us. Regarding cleanliness, everything was fine except for the floor, which was dirty with dust and hair from people who had stayed before us.
It's basically a studio apartment, located on the first floor with a view of the street. It has some kitchen elements, but I think it needs more in order to really cook there — for example, a proper kitchen knife and a cutting board, among others. It's a few blocks from the Journal Square PATH station. There was also a light on the exterior of the building, apparently meant to illuminate the sidewalk, but it came through the curtains. It would be nice if they added blackout curtains to block the light and make resting more pleasant.
