We’ve been spoilt at other hotels with robes and I didn’t think of bringing one. Now I will remember. This certainly didn’t spoil our trip.

We were visiting our college senior granddaughter at WCU for three nights. We were thrilled to find this delightful hotel as opposed to a motel or b&b. The huge bonus is the property is on the edge of a river. We had a large room with balcony and a magnificent view overlooking the river with rapids and kayakers. We would bring our self serve breakfast up to the room and sit on the balcony. So peaceful. There are a couple of nice restaurants in Dillsboro. But 1 mile away, Sylva offers several excellent restaurants (Ilda, Lulus for dinner and the Lazy Hiker for lunch + more options) and is a delightful little town with many Main Street boutiques to stroll by and explore. The hotel staff always had a smile ready and were very helpful, particularly Kaylee (not sure of spelling) who was most helpful when I requested an upper floor room. We can’t wait to return.

I can’t think of anything I didn’t like. The only minor concern is our bathtub seemed to be a little slippery when we took our showers.

The breakfast is very good. Great selection of items to choose from. Miss Debbie who oversees the breakfast is amazing. She greets everyone with a smile and makes sure everyone has what they need. The desk clerks are all very helpful and extremely nice. The location is great. Convenient to many towns nearby to explore as well as waterfalls and other outdoor activities.

I have no complaints. The staff is always nice and available, the facilities are in good condition and the back deck on the river is an added bous!

This hotel is our favorite one in the area. We stay there whenever we are in town for our students who are at WCU. We also enjoy it's proximity to downtown Dillsboro and all the adorable shops!

We brought grandchildren. I called ahead to make sure the pool was heated. Was told it was, but that was not the case. Could have been a simple misunderstanding though. The refrigerator was unusually small compared to most places. There was no coffee maker in the room.

Totally my fault, but I stayed on the side without a view of the river. I won’t do that again. I love sitting on the balcony and watching the river.

I have family in the Dillsboro area, so every time I visit I stay at River escape best Western. The location is perfect for me to get anywhere I want to go. The room is always clean and comfortable. Breakfast is wonderful and the staff is friendly and courteous

Area leading into motel was kind of "run down railroad yard." Cable tv did not include Braves channel.

Hot tub jets not working. People smoking on their balconies even though it said no smoking.

The hotel sat on a river, we had a room that had a balcony that looked out over the water. Breakfast was very good and free. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The guys working the front desk were very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.
