Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesMy room seemed to have some electrical issues. One light kept flickering and they’re were black, electrical tree marks on the light-up mirror. The bath tub was clean, but did have some noticeable rusting.
Slept well. Great proximity to the arena and harbor. Flight arrived late morning and they kindly allowed me to check in early.

United StatesThe shower gel container was empty and the pillows were so soft that it took all four pillows to sleep. Only one ice machine in the entire building worked.
Beautiful hotel. Thankful for valet service to assist us with finding parking.

RomaniaI consider it a serious misrepresentation that Booking.com confirms a reservation explicitly including breakfast, while the hotel Sonesta fails to honor such contractual commitment, forcing the guest to pay separately for breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant. I have already paid through Booking.com the amount of USD 196 for one night’s accommodation and USD 37 for breakfast, which contractually should have been provided free of charge. Such conduct reflects extremely poorly on both Sonesta, which presents itself as a 4-star hotel, and on Booking.com, for failing to take adequate measures against what amounts to a deceptive commercial practice. At the hotel reception, I was informed that Booking.com is aware of this issue, which aggravates the seriousness of the situation. I hereby request that the competent authorities clarify this matter and take the necessary steps to ensure that consumers are treated in accordance with the contracts concluded, and that practices of this kind are effectively prevented in the future.

United StatesTwo tiny issues: Could have used an overhead light, or easier access to the floor lamp (switch was on the floor trapped behind a chair). And shower curtain rod needed to be tightened, as the curtain hung low into the water. But not a big deal.
Room was nicer, larger and cleaner than I expected. And $2 beers during happy hour! And great Mexican restaurant in the same block on Charles St. Highly recommend.

United StatesOur shower was pretty bad. The tub faucet was falling off and the shower head really lacked pressure due to calcium buildup. The bed was uncomfortable. It was very hard.
The staff was great! They're friendly, professional, and helpful! The location was also good for the harbor area.

United StatesThe only issue was that the a/c was out in the bar area. It was still comfortable in that area. That was out of the staffs control. Our Bartender Duncan was excellent
I was extremely impressed with each staff member that I encountered. EVERYONE was pleasant, and greeted us with a smile. The customer service was top tier.

United StatesThe room smelled musty and there was an empty plastic bottle left in the room from the last guest. The toiletries in the room also did not include any hand soap.
The room was big and comfortable. Great location downtown in walking distance to everything touristy. The valet parking attendants were very friendly.

United StatesThe food in the restaurant was good although the staff made many mistakes, service was slow and customers at tables were not served all the food at the same time. The bartenders were very friendly although when a drink was ordered, it was made with a substitute material (one mixer item not available) before asking prior to making he made the drink not so good, did not offer it at no charge or replace it. Coffee maker was broken, no hair dryer in room which was delivered although took at least an hour to bring up to room. Could have put more coffee in the room when there is more than one day booked.
The room was comfortable and clean. The restaurant had limited hours but the food was good. Desk staff very friendly and helpful. In fact all the staff was courteous.

United StatesParking sucked. 45 for valet parking or 25 to park yourself in a garage around the block was crappy because it caused issues with unloading and loading. Plus, you get a piece of paper to hold on to for each in and out trip of the garage and if you lose it then that causes more issues. Also, if you have a hotel with 7 floors and over a dozen rooms per floor you need more than 2 luggage carts in your lobby.
The room overall was very nice and comfortable. The comforter on one bed was clean but look like it possibly had a pea stain from a pet at one point. The view was crappy all we had to look at was the concrete side of the building.

AustriaThe area surrounding didnt feel safe. The staff were friendly, but seemed to be under trained, and didn’t answer my questions directly. For example, they would not tell me what charges and holds were being placed on my credit card, and were whispering to each other instead of telling me information directly. It made me very uncomfortable, and I felt unsure if any surprise charges were going to show up. I was told there would be a $50 holding fee but then a $625 hold showed up on my credit card. Not ok. Also, the walls were paper thin. I could hear everything going on in the rooms around me. And the bathroom played a song that was honestly kind of creepy, every time I turned the light on. There were also flies in my room.
The staff were friendly, it was clean, and close to my conference location.

United StatesThe doors to your room stick so you have to slam them shut. Breakfast isn't added with the small fee that's on booking. You have to pay for your items like a regular restaurant. Also when turning on the light to the bathroom it plays a jingle every time.
I like how easy it is to check in, also the rooms are big and the beds are comfy. Also like how close it is to many attractions. Also that there's a Dunkin and 7/11 around the corner. Breakfast had multiple options.

BelgiumRoom is not very dark at night. There is a free breakfast but there is no free choice and no bread included. Also when you go for breakfast they do not mention the included breakfast and give you a price list of various breakfasts. The are not very happy if you ask for your included breakfast without paying extra.
