Loved the view, safety and walkability of the location!! The staff were very kind it’s connected to a blk owned coffee shop. Major perk is there’s a night club and bar inside the facilities, making the place feel grown and sexy! I stayed during San jose Jazz fest weekend and it was lit!

Woman at the desk asked us to wait in the lobby when we were checking In at 4pm because the room wasn’t ready yet. Said she’d let me know when it was ready. At 4:50 I went back up to the desk and asked when the room would be ready. She said it’s been ready she didn’t know I was there waiting… I’ll add that you receive a email the day before asking you to tell them what time you plan to check in, to which I’d replied 4 pm. Furthermore she’d asked me to wait in the lobby so I did per her request, and then she forgot I was there waiting… all while I made a point of walking around the lobby staying visible as not to be forgotten about. very unprofessional.

Parking. I got off work late and by the time I got there the local parking garages were closed. I circled the block a few times and couldn’t find street parking. The nice guy at the counter let me park in the valet driveway as they were gone for the night. Otherwise I would have canceled and looked elsewhere for room

No breakfast, right in the heart of downtown SJ with easy access to highways , friendly helpful staff, cool bar with live music and comfortable large bathroom/shower.

No cafeteria, I stayed 4 days they didn't replenish vanity items or cups in the room. Very difficult access to the shower.

Airco was aimed at the top of the bed, which really is no longer acceptable these days. Also, the airco was very noisy (and old) which didn't help during the nights. The front of the hotel where my room was, was located at busy streat, so surely no quiet room.

Overall hotel experience was good. Staff were helpful, room was nice, large and comfi. Hotel had a good feel to it and pleasant lobby to work in. Also gym was sufficient.

The air conditioner was really loud. There were earplugs on the table probably for that reason but they hurt your ears.

Coffee maker didn't work very well (or very easily) and the hotel has no breakfast or restaurant, but I knew that and it's no big deal. Just not perfect.

Exceptional value all around. Ideal location, tastefully decorated room, spacious bathroom, very comfortable bed, even a great view from the top floor. I wanted to give it a perfect 10, but I had some trouble with the coffee maker and the hotel has no restaurant. But other than that, I couldn't ask for a lot more.

The bathroom was large, the bed was comfortable, people were very friendly. Thanks to Tiago who made some repairs in my room that I had mentioned to the staff, on the same day.

My only point of criticism was that I wish the water in the shower drained better. Also, the hot water was slow to come on in the sink.

The room was well decorated, and loved the vintage art deco architecture! The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. Location was excellent as well!

No issues at all.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. We arrived at about 1.30am after a delayed flight during which our luggage was lost by the airline. The night manager (I didn't get his name unfortunately) was so helpful and lovely - he gave us some toothbrushes and toothpaste as we had nothing, and also let us leave our car in the valet area rather than make us pay for valet seeing as most of the night was over. The room was lovely and clean, and the bed was super comfortable.

I liked the coffee shop on the premises but would have also been good to have some breakfast options.

The hotel is really nice, the rooms are quiet and comfortable. It is conveniently located between train station (~10 min walk) and downtown San José.
