Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesParking could have been better, by no fault of their own the county took away most of the parking, so it is $20.00 per day if you can't find one. The landscape was terrible; it needs a lot of work on the outside.
It was close to the beach; the room was very clean.

United StatesWe had a short wait until our rooms were ready due to short staffing but the property accommodated us for having to wait. I had two rooms and it was only one tv either in living room or bedroom which was okay, we made it work. Bathrooms were tiny but again it worked it for our stay. I was kinda scared when I saw my room door, it looked as if it had been kicked in, but I felt safe it locked well despite how it looked to the eye. Rooms were nicely updated with nice appliances. We enjoyed sitting out in the breezeway kicking back watching the sunset and feeling the breeze.
The property was literally across the street from the beach.

United StatesI would prefer an inside latch on my door.
I loved that I could walk from my door to the beach, in a short space. The room had a stove/microwave/small refrigerator so I could eat in my room.

United StatesNo new towels throughout our stay, the desk clerk was never in the office, we had to text or call for her. On the day of check out it took her 1.5 hrs to respond . We ended up just leaving the key in a secure location on premise and texting her the location. Parking was extremely limited and I was not willing to leave our rental car out of view.
We were upgraded to a king suite and had immediate access to the beach

United Statesthe photos and the website stated all was renovated and pool/spa right on the beach. We booked the 3-bedroom suite. I received a call from "Brian" hotel manager/housekeeper/maintenance worker not sure at all what or who he is at this point, that the Central AC just stopped working in the suite and he was going to get window units, Mind you it is super-hot in July in Florida. Upon check in we were met with trouble finding parking. There are a total of 4 parking spots out front and supposedly along the street across the street that is not safe at all. we get our 1 and only key because previous occupant lost the other key. first excuse...(this should have been made at the local hardware as it was just a regular door key) upon walking up the steps of what seemed to be an old, abandoned hotel we were met with another set of steps. 2nd excuse, (a window unit wasn't found to fit in the queen bedroom) so "Brian" decided that a box fan and another floor fan was sufficient. it was a scorching 90 in the unit. the other 2 bedrooms had a "window unit" that blew warm air and a floor fan that oscillated the warm air in the suite. IT WAS PURE HELL. never bothered calling AC COMP to fix. The room was disgusting. kitchen; dishwasher "JUST BROKE", the fridge had mildew and sticky grime all over, human hair it was nasty. Stove, It had never been cleaned horrible. bathrooms, there was sand in the shower and hair all over the shower walls, the door on the bathroom cabinet was broken and hanging by a small screw. sheets had hair and were dirty, MAGOTS WERE IN FAMILY MEMBERS ROOM THEY LEFT to another hotel. office always closed, towels were paper thin and he tried to say we stained because we had sun block on when we dried ourselves after shower.. Dirty Bedding, stained he said they are not a big hotel so cant buy bedding in bulk. LIKE WHAT?
access to beach that's it.

United StatesWe checked in at 4. When I walked into the office, nobody was around. Trash was all over the floor. A tooth brush and a piece of bread was on the counter. A $100.00 bill was on the counter for anybody to take. I called the number listed, and asked if the office was where I checked in. A young man answered and said he would be right down. He explained our room was not clean yet. Over the course of 3 days/nights we watched people come and go. The rooms were never ready. One lady even asked us if she was going to be safe staying in her room. He had cleaning products all over the side walks that he would not pick up. He would not change the outside trash, which was over flowing. Homeless people were sleeping on our balcony/table. There are only 4 parking spots available at the hotel. The others are for Volusia County Beach parking (You have to pay), and you cannot pay to park over night. The hotel does have a few spaces across the street that is $20.00 a day. ****If you do decide to stay, please try Senor Taco that is right across the street! The food is amazing.
We liked the location of the hotel. The hotel uses the same parking lot as the drive on entrance to the beach. The evenings were always fun watching cars get stuck and trying to get out of the sand.

United StatesDirty poorly cleaned misled on amenities. Trash outside not changed in days with flys. Used soap in shower with previous occupants hair on it. Charger left under bed from previous occupant. Used sheets shoved above trash area. Pool was broken. Unit did not have stove shown in photos. No wash cloths. Office always marked closed by sign. Lizard in unit. Uncleaned ac unit. Sheets on bed smelled like washer is mildewed. Standing water during shower. Had to purchase more toilet paper. Pool broken and ground eroding by it unsafe. Purchased an additional night purely to stay by the beach and was charged more by the hotel then then nightly price through booking.com. Would not recommend and did not feel like I got what I paid for.

United StatesAbsolutely Disgusting – Stay Away! We booked a two-bedroom suite at Daytona Shores Inn and Suites, expecting a relaxing beachfront stay with two full rooms, long beds, and direct beach access. What we got was an absolute nightmare. A few days before our trip, we were informed that the room we already booked was no longer available and that we would be relocated to their “sister property” in a one-bedroom unit with two full beds — a massive downgrade. After hours of trying to reach someone, they eventually agreed to “accommodate” us, but it only got worse from there. When we arrived, we were not given the two-bedroom suite. Instead, they put us in two completely separate rooms on different floors — a logistical disaster for our group. The building was FILTHY. The floors were so dirty our feet turned black within minutes of walking barefoot. Roaches were crawling on the floor. Electrical outlets didn’t work. The backyard was crawling with stray cats, making the whole place feel more like a neglected alleyway than a vacation property. We tried reaching the front desk of the original booking location — no one ever picked up the phone. Another guest at the sister property told us he had the same problem and actually had to spray his own room for roaches. Completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, we ended up spending a huge portion of our weekend not enjoying the beach, but instead desperately trying to contact staff and then scrambling to find new accommodations — all because of their negligence and lack of communication. We finally had to go through Booking.com to cancel the reservation and escape this mess. Even then, the hotel only refunded one night, claiming we hadn’t contacted them — when in reality, we spent HOURS trying to reach them directly to resolve the situation. This place is unprofessional, unsanitary, and a complete scam. Save yourself the headache and stay literally anywhere else. 10/10 would NOT recommend.
