Parking was a little sketchy. Hotel is just outdated. You can tell they have started some upgrades.

Location location location! View of the beach was nice especially after being across the street. Pool was nice although the jacuzzi was broke.

The dishes looked old and very used. The coffee maker was dirty inside and out by the time I cleaned it I didn't even want to make coffee because I was worried how long it was dirty. I didn't like the dampness in the room it was hard to air dry anything even my towels and wash clothes stayed wet over night until the next day

I liked the close pool access and homey feel to the room and the large fridge and freezer and microwave. There was a toaster oven and coffee maker as well and dishes stocked in the room.

Parking lot directly behind hotel was a bit tight getting in and out. Also, the (2) air conditioning units on the balcony blew hot air and was noisy so it wasn’t relaxing sitting out there.

Location was absolutely perfect! And the fact that it had 2 full beds AND (although we didn’t have to use it) a pullout couch, which would have been perfect if we had our other kids with us! It was nice having balcony overlooking street to car/people watch in the evening.

if you're looking for 1,000 count sheets don't book here. mattresses are old, along with everything else in the room. smoking is allowed in the walkways and at the pool.

Loved the location of the property, beach access was across the street. owner/manager was very nice and social able. our room number was #506 with 2 beds and a view of the ocean. pool was very clean, and the loungers were nice to have access to. unlimited hot water

Only downside was the a/c did not cool the bedroom very well. Had to set up a fan to push some cold air into the bedroom.

Room was very comfortable and clean. The staff was amazing. The lady at the desk was very friendly and helpful. The maintenance guy was very quick to respond when we requested something and asked us if we needed anything whenever he saw us.

The balcony had two AC units blowing hot air directly into it and was not really usable except to dry towels.

Although not fancy or good impression from entrance, rooms were nice, comfort and clean. The full sized refrigerator and proximity to beach and old MB attractions were a plus.The pool was lovely.

The room needs a few more outlets. All the lamps & ac unit took up most of the outlets.

The rim was clean & comfortable. Very homey, Had a pool & hot tub. Very stress free stay.

The hotel was older, in a salty environment, so outside it showed its age.

The price & location were great for Myrtle Beach. The room inside was redone and was nice. It was a pretty big room too.

To be very honest, I loved the place. I don't have anything negative to say about David's Landing. The building looked sketchy but everything in my room was beautiful. Room 203, I was in love with.

Looks are deceiving, the building is old, but when I got to room 203, I was in love. Every time I get to Myrtle Beach, I will choose this place every time. Staff came every day to offer towels and clean up. It was tranquil and it's right across the street from the beach.

elevator buttons were sticky. iron stairway was solid but a bit scary. parking lot was small and on a hill but sufficient.

Although the hotel was old our room had been renovated and was very clean with beautiful bedspreads. An empty lot across the street gave us Waterview from our balcony.

The owner told me to tell him if I needed anything, many times. However, I did not mention to him that I wiped down the door knobs, light switches, keyboard for the AC unit and fridge door handle with Clorox wipes. I would make a kind suggestion to the cleaning team, to pay attention to the smaller things too! Like door handles, beside the door handles on the door itself, any switches or pads, table tops or counter tops.. basically anything you have to touch needs to be wiped down with an antibacterial type wipe. Just a suggestion, not a complaint, only a suggestion. I'll have my Clorox wipes at ANY hotel I stay at so it wasn't just for this hotel at all. That's how I've done for a long time. Other than that, I had no issues at all. The staff / owners were so nice and kind. They cared and would do anything to help you. As stated before, I'll be back for sure!! Thank you Jose and your wife, for all you do for that place, and caring so much for the people that stay there.

The staff was great! They asked me many times if we had everything we needed. Staff was always on the grounds and available for any issues. I didn't have any issues, but if I did, they would be there. The hotel is a short walk to the public access beach area, possibly 100 yards to the sand itself maybe?! They have a "shower-off" area outside of the hotel to get sand / salt off of you. The room was a 1 king suite. It was tight but it was just me and my small son so it worked for us. I liked having a broom in the room so I could sweep up all the sand we tracked in. Housekeeping came by our room every morning and asked if we had everything we needed, and asked if we needed anything. When we weren't in the room when they came in, they restocked our towels, toilet paper and other supplies they may have seen we were short of. The balcony looked over the road, but we could see the beach easily from the room. Parking was great! They have their own lot behind the hotel. Hotel is close to the main highway, Kings Highway, 3 blocks possibly, so you don't have to drive far to get to everything. You could walk if you wanted too. Hotel sits beside a Mexican food restaurant/hotel. McDonald's is 3 blocks away. You could walk I promise! The pool was nice and clean. No problems at all! They cleaned the pool daily. Staff vacuumed the carpeted areas of the floors, where people walk in common areas, all day basically. The owners truly care about you. Would I stay here again? Absolutely! As long as the same people are running the place, I'll be back! I don't regret it at all! There was a lady that came off the streets with a bicycle. She wanted to get on the elevator and go to a room. She didn't appear to be a law abiding citizen either. The owner was VERY quick to tell her to get the bicycle out of the hotel, and told her she most definitely would NOT be taking it on the elevator. He told her to leave. Two thumbs up for that Jose!!
