The WiFi sucked. The network only showed up sporadically and wasn't always available even after connecting to it. Not a deal breaker, but you should know this.

The room was well appointed and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is about a mile from the downtown area, so isn't really walkable. The owner, Sal, was a pleasure to meet and even gave us a tip on where to watch the sunset, which was a three minute walk from the hotel. Beach access was another easy three minute walk. The only ding was the complete lack of WiFi. Both of our phones could link to the provided network only sporadically. No big deal for us, but if you need a strong, consistent, WiFi signal for whatever reason, this isn't the place. Would definitely consider staying here again based on the room cleanliness and easy beach access.

Beach view (and could hear waves crashing at night). King bed very well done. Good hot shower and nice fluffy, absorbant towels. In room kuerig coffee, refrigerator and microwave with comfortable bed. Close to beach access, with no-cost beach towels to borrow and thoughtful outdoor shower for after-beach rinse. Nice quieter north part of Laguna. Host, Sal, was friendly, informative and helpful. Exceeded expectations of what had once probably been a simple motor lodge, now upgraded nicely.

Close to Beach/Ocean. Easy to walk to Beach/Ocean, park, shopping, restaurants. Nice to have a carport to park in out of the sun. It was quiet. I did not hear other guests coming and going . The front office staff was very friendly and accommodating he let us check in early. Gave great information on the area and how to get around easily (trolley schedule etc)

The location was perfect. We were married at Crescent Bay Point Park a year before so to spend our Anniversary right around the corner was perfect.

There wasn’t room service to clean the rooms daily or an ice machine but these are minor issues and can live without them.

If I have to write something I would say that the ice machine closing time would be the only thing. It would be nice to have it open later but that said we were aware of the closing time and had ice every night. It is good to have insulated travel cup/mugs when you travel.

Nicely appointed room. Comfortable bed and bathroom facilities were clean and spacious. Parking was perfect. We were close to the beach with a tiny slice of view but did not expect more than that.

The property was quite basic, but we expected that. The air conditioning unit is old and quite loud, but it didn't bother us.

Charming, affordable option perfectly situated along the coast. The owner was very welcoming and gave us lots of information, from how parking worked, to how to access the beach, how the local trolley worked, and where the closest local store was. The room was extremely clean and we had ocean views. We had a surprisingly large bathroom, which was nice. Free bottles of water in the room were appreciated in the heat. This was the perfect location for visiting Laguna Beach, the small beach close to the property was beautiful, and we enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay again for a nice, convenient, affordable, option.

We have stayed here before and it is quiet, clean and convenient. The Manager Sal is very friendly and knowledgeable. The entry or rather the exit to the street is angled heavily so that many cars bottom out as they exit the property.

Convenience to main beach but not in the heart of all the traffic. It is a quiet location.

AC could have been turned on prior to arrival. Rooms were updated not sure how long ago but some things were not done properly as they're "falling apart": shower door tile from wall; chipped tile @ shower door entry; faucet @ bathroom sink.

What breakfast?! Wonderful location. Room was clean and reasonably priced. View from building closest to the ocean is fantastic! Staff was friendly and informative.

The back window didn’t have a screen to keep the window open.

The place was closed to the beach within minutes walking distance. And our favorite beach too. It was near the trolley stop. The parking space fit our F350 truck but forgot to take a picture. Our room was downstairs and convenient. We were very pleased with the customer services…Sal showed us the room before agreeing which room we wanted upstairs or downstairs. We checked out very pleased.
