More choices for dinner. Location of the new restaurant Salt Grass is good. However, they could make a special arrangement for guests of the Marriott to have some priority access to Salt Grass since it was constantly crowded and had long wait lines. The alternative restaurants are mostly downtown OR across the freeway. Sometimes guests do not want to drive anywhere to eat after a day of conferences and meetings.... or after a company happy hour.

The only thing we didn't like was the guest above us was loud late into the night and the floors don't seem to dampen the noise very well.

The location is great, close to Gruene, the river activities and even Buccees. Also sits on a quiet part of the river that you can enjoy. The rooms are well appointed, comfortable and clean. The Bistro had great food options.

The first room assignment- AC unit not working properly. Had to change rooms.

Location next to the river…the grounds were beautiful. All the staff were nice and engaging except the young guy at the desk when I arrived at 11:30pm. He just seemed apathetic. Cindy attended our conference room and was fantastic and so was the IT guy who helped me.

The "bistro" was actually a counter in the entrance lobby that combined Starbucks and a bar. You have to wait in line to buy your food. If you buy the breakfast option with your room, they give you fewer choices in the menu. This bistro is closed in the afternoon.

The food in the "bistro" in the entrance lobby was tasty and the outdoor grounds are lovely, which we were able to see from our room (river view). We enjoyed going to the pool and walking down to the river.

Shower head was old and water stream was partially messed up due to calcium deposits. Would prefer a shower head with detachable piece that allows more flexibility when showering. Tub was very slippery.

No coffee available during the day. No free breakfast. For the price some extras would be nice. No notice until arrival that water would be turned off at 10:00 am the next morning for repairs. We were accommodated with a free late check out, but there should have been some notice at the time of booking.

Loved the access to the river for swimming and also the pool. Grounds are beautiful. Room very comfortable and nice.

Only issue was pulling out of the parking lot on a very busy street.

The staff was very friendly and courteous. We had a minor issue which was taken care of immediately and professionally.

Room windows were filthy and we told the staff and they were not cleaned during our 4 day stay. They were dirty from the outside and we were on the second floor so they may not have had the ability to get to them. The stairs going to the water were full of a 1/2 inch of mud. The railing around the concrete jettys was really tacky. The swimming area rope was broken and just laying in the water and had not been attended to in a very long time. There were no chairs by the fire area that they had. The site needs attention for how much they charge.

I would had liked it better if they would had let us check in at 3:00 instead of 4:00.

Breakfast was good but a little pricey !Also Would had liked if better if they had other options for drinks like orange juice , Apple juice, milk considering it was for the breakfast meal. Instead they had sodas and sweet teas!
