Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content

- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

There were spiders on the window shade.
It was easy to get to. Quick check in. Very informative and Dominick was a great help when our TV didn’t work. He was quick to respond and fixed the problem for us

Convenient to highway as well as necessary trip things like gas and food! Clean, safe, pleasant staff, fairly quiet (I was on the top floor, that helped), lovely room and good breakfast!

The hotel is conveniently located 15 minutes from downtown Madison and close to Interstate 90. I found it to be very clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was excellent.

A little more space at the bathroom sink, but everything was clean and stocked. I liked the bed; my husband said it was OK. No bed will please both of us! :-)
Variety at breakfast: sausage, eggs, pastries, cereal, fruit, juice, coffee, tea, yogurt. Just about anything you could want. I have allergies so my request for a pet-free room was accomodated.

Everything was good, including the price.
Would definitely stay here again. Check in was easy, cookies at the front desk, popcorn, and lemon water available, that was a nice treat. Comfortable bed and soft sheets, clean room and bathroom. Good choices for breakfast, to include eggs, sausage, biscuits, cereal, waffles. Tomasa was on duty in the dining room and she greeted everyone with a smile and made sure that everything was well stocked. The breakfast time was coming to a close, but she made sure that it was well supplied and didn't make us feel rushed. Another bonus of the location was a trail around a pond on site.

We did not experience this on this trip but the last three one of the staff sits in the front stairs and smokes. That's a bit much for us. I wish they would do it away from those doors.
I come to this hotel frequently because it's a convenient location, easy to get our dog a walk, clean, comfortable and the staff works hard. I have had someone at the front desk allow a later than usual check out because we were attending my Father-in-laws funeral. We were so grateful. Yesterday the breakfast attendant was working hard to keep things filled and cleaned. That was a big job.

There was ants in hall way around a piece of candy maybe????
Popcorn and cookies in lobby upon arrival. Asked for pond view way ahead of time but receptionist never mentioned and or they put us on opposite side of pond view. Refrigerator and microwave in room. Desk with chair plus an extra chair for seating. 4 pillows per queen bed. Coffee and tea ( selection around 8 different kinds) 24 hours a day.

The biscuits were a bit hard.

My pillow had an unusual smell. Just switched for another and was fine but was kind of gross.
I love that the hot tub is open till midnight! So if you have something, you can still use it when you get back to the room. Dominick front desk held the door open for me when my arms were full. He went above and beyond. I love the lake and the bench by it. The whole outside area makes me want to stay in this place every time I come to Madison..
