How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe hotel looked newer and was very bright and cheerful throughout. The front desk gal was sweet and helpful. I loved that the breakfast area had real dishes and silverware. Also, it was so convenient having the Outback Restaurant right next door after our long day at Yellowstone. Thanks for the coupon for a bloomin onion!

Verified reviewWe've stayed at this hotel several times on our visits to the Bozeman area. The staff is very cordial and helpful, and the location is great - near several restaurants and the highway. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms clean, and even on the traffic side of the hotel the rooms are very quiet. Sometimes they have warm chocolate chip cookies in the lobby.
The breakfasts are not great; we always go into town or nearby to eat. This year, we noticed the carpets needed to be cleaned or replaced, and the furniture in the room was a bit worn. The hotel needs a refresh. Overall, our stay was good.

Verified reviewThe breakfast was your usual mix of hot and cold, like in a Hampton Inn. A slightly smaller selection than usual, but good. The whole hotel is fairly new, so the rooms and lobby are spacious and well kept.
The location is a little out of the way and the price seemed high for what's basically a suburban location.

Verified reviewThe room was clean and tidy. The location was near the freeway and close to the airport, as well as Costco & Target. There was some friendly staff on the site. The shower was clean and bright, and there was pretty good lightning.
Shorthand of staff - especially in the morning. The staff were busy working in the kitchen, and if customers want to sign off, then the food will not be supplied. Wi-Fi is okay, but not really fast. The water in the shower is a little bit low-pressure.

Verified reviewThe morning staff wasn’t very helpful. They hadn’t refilled the water station near the checkout counter. When we asked where we could fill up some water the lady at the desk replied “the kitchen just closed so i can’t go in there right now”. The checkin staff the previous night was able to get us a cup of milk for our toddler from the very same closed kitchen at 11 pm in the night. It felt like the morning front desk person was just not wanting to be helpful.

Wish breakfast had been served earlier on Sunday. Missed it because we had a plane to catch. No safety handrails in bathtub/shower; surface a little slippery.

Verified reviewThe hotel featured a charming outdoor fireplace and offered stunning views of the mountains, which made for a relaxing atmosphere. After several weeks of travel, having access to laundry facilities was a huge relief—it saved us the hassle of finding a laundromat. Free parking was also a convenient perk, making it easy to come and go without added stress.
Highly Disappointing Stay We booked a two-night stay for $555, expecting a comfortable and relaxing experience, but encountered multiple issues from the start. Upon arrival, the sink in our room was clogged. My husband removed the drain cover and found it full of hair. The room phone was broken, so I had to call the front desk from my personal phone. We were moved to another room, but that room also had a clogged faucet and sink, both of which were visibly dirty. There was hair on the bathroom floor and in the shower, along with noticeable mildew and what appeared to be mold. I sent a text message to the hotel (as prompted by their system) with photos, requesting that the room be cleaned. I received a response saying they would look into it, but no action was taken. The hotel does offer complimentary breakfast, which initially seemed like a nice touch—until I saw an employee replenishing the scrambled eggs from a ziplock bag. This raised serious concerns about food safety and hygiene. Overall, the experience was far below expectations, especially given the price. I’ve stayed in much cleaner and more affordable hotels. We couldn’t leave fast enough.
