Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandBuilding noise every morning getting us out of bed before 8am. I would not call this closet a Gym. Breakfast "included" comes down to a 15$ voucher for the rooftop restaurant. Not really what we expected from the description in Booking
Fantastic location at the lively river front and downtown in walking distance. Nice building transformed into a hotel.

The beds were very comfortable. The first night due to the ac system being worked on ours wasnt working right. However it wasn't terribly warm. The front desk offered to move us the next day as they didn't have anything to fit all of us. They also lent us a box fan which helped a lot. The next the ac was working properly and our room was super comfortable. We had a river view and what amazing views. The cargo ships coming in and out of the port. Access to river st was easy. A public parking garage was a very short walk to the hotel. It was cheaper than valet parking and not far at all. The hotel had 3 bikes out front to use, im not sure the process for borrowing though. Lastly the staff was amazing and so helpful. We loved our stay here.

United StatesOur room was very loud. Don’t know if it was because we were on the 5th floor beneath the bar and restaurant. However, they did offer to move us. The balcony room is also not worth paying for. You can’t sit out there, only room to stand.
Very close to everything. We only got our car from the valet when we went to Tybee Island. Walked everywhere else.

United StatesOnly two negatives. No microwave or fridge in the room. However I was offered to use a microwave in the employee break room so that was cool. And during the night there was a lot of thumping and bumping on the pipes and up and down the hall above us. A little kid? A ghost? Who knows. But it was loud and lingering.
Location on the river was wonderful for watching the big cargo ships and shopping the Riverwalk. It was also convenient to the marketplace and a trolley stop on the hop on hop off trolley which is a must since parking in Savannah is so very very scarce. There was valet parking available which was an extra $45 but worth it. (Remember SCARCE) Staff was wonderful. I had hurt my ankle so didn’t want to hobble any more than I had to. They put us in a room right off the lobby which was perfect. We didn’t even have to put up with any noise from the lobby.

BangladeshThe room was a little warm at night and the ships blowing their horn disrupted sleep but I am sure that is just part of life on the river.
The room and view were amazing. I enjoyed the location as well.

United StatesThe toilet paper was a little weak, and the hallway carpets were giving off musty. But it’s a party town, so that’s sort of understandable. Valet parking is a bit expensive, but on par with everyone else in town.
The bed was super comfortable, and the room was tidy and spacious. The entire staff was SUPER nice and accommodating. The location was central to our needs. It felt safe.

United StatesIt was very difficult getting to the entrance via Google Maps, which sent us to the cobblestone entrance, easily missed. The room did not have a refrigerator or microwave for take-home restaurant food. There was no place to hang towels. There was no place to put a suitcase other than on the beds. Only one comfortable TV watching chair. The valet parking was confusing as it was not stated that the parking was free unless the car stayed in the parking garage overnight. We had to ask to discover this information. We have stayed in much less expensive places and had all of the above amenities.
The location was wonderful. The room was quiet and comfortable.

United StatesThe price is very steep for the room value. If you have a room below the lobby it’s very dark. I would have opted for a cheaper hotel that was nicer. $400 for a dingy small dark room. . . The bar staff was incredibly rude and dismissive and the service was insanely slow. It took over 40 ministers for one to go pasta dish. (It was almost dead when I went in). I truly expect better hospitality from a boutique hotel of this caliber. I’ve bartended and worked in service for YEARS. It didn’t seem like they were warm, interested in helping people, or having any hustle for speed of service. It was truly disappointing. The staff for breakfast however was warm, and gave great service!
Gorgeous views and wonderful front desk staff and valet. The location is FANTASTIC. Walkable to both city market, the Riverwalk, and close to trolley stops etc. The front desk sorted us out after a disaster of mess ups at the indigo across the street. They got us in and taken care of and we loved the ppl Antonio and Shawn in particular were wonderful to us. They looked after us and went above and beyond more than once. Do go for a special occasion and spend more for a river view. It made our stay magical. To stand on the balconies and hear the music and see the boats passing by was really incredible.

United StatesCheck in was the smoothest and best experience of any check in I have ever done. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We ate our dinner (delicious) at the bar in the River House and met some nice people from Canada and Virginia. Our balcony on the 4th floor was fantastic for people watching below. The location was perfect for all the things we wanted to walk to.
