How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Location was not the best and you need a car really to travel. Was warned by staff to not use the buses.
Clean, rustic feel. Outside was lovely, spacious and a great outdoor space.

It’s trying to be posh and cool. But not quite making it. It smells a little funny and the new paint is obviously trying to cover some water warping and shabby parts. Rooms are very basic with popcorn ceiling and walls. Honestly I thought this was a Public Storage building transformed into a hotel! We stayed Saturday night and bright and early Sunday morning the adjacent parking lot was super loud with TONS of motorcycles.
The artwork specifies to Detroit and the little book about it was a good touch. Location was nice.

The bar/restaurant was closed, that was one of the reasons we booked this place. Landscape could use some TLC. No fire wood was provided for the fire pit. New corn hole boards are necessary. No coffee in the room.
We enjoyed the common space outside. The small overpriced conviene store was handy. We love the creative and artsy vibe. Enjoyed having a fridge in the room.

Although the modern urban esthetic was cool, some features, like the shower design left out some simple things-like a place to hang your towel. Staff were not very familiar with area locations.
Location was close to Corktown restaurants and an easy drive into downtown. Gated and locked parking lot was a plus.

No sanitizing spray in the fitness room. My tub did not drain. After one shower I was unable to take another during my stay. Only one working elevator. Very dark entrances to the rooms.
Very clean linens (both towels & bedding) clean bathrooms perfect for my needs. Loved my vehicle was gated.

We arrived on a Monday and the restaurant and bar area was closed. It was kind of disappointing.
The hotel was in a great location and was very comfortable. The staff was very nice and was always available at the front desk.

I wasn't aware of any pet fee so that should be better communicated. Room was small so if you're travelling for long periods probably not the best.
Service was good. location is perfect - right in the heart of corktown. Room was comfortable and just what we needed for one night.

Hooks are needed in the bathroom near the shower or at least on the back of the door. There is no coffee available outside of the small cafe located in the lobby. No breakfast options on site besides the muffin, bagel or croissant at the cafe (no meats or eggs on menu).
I like that it was easy to get into and out of the hotel parking lot. I like that you could not hear hallway activity when in your room. Everyone there was friendly and helpful.

If this place had a pool and or a hot tub it would make it the perfect destination. It's a little bit out of the city, but I think it was a good amount. However, coming back from the city at night if you're walking or biking could feel a little sketchy sometimes. Overall okay.
The rooms were clean Austin. The staff member at the desk that checked us in was super awesome and very helpful. All of the staff members were amazing.
