How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Only issues we had was the front the person at the front desk didn't seem very helpful with payment or check in. We didnt have but one towel and no soap, luckily I had brought some. Also housekeeping woke us up banging on the door at 9am after we had a very long drive and was still trying to sleep before we had to get up at 11am to drive 7 hours. Housekeeping didn't even need anything just wanted to see if anyone was in the room.
Room was clean, beds are comfortable and bathroom was also clean.

The pool was closed and they never told us prior to the trip. I was told by the man at the counter that the ceiling over the pool collapsed last week and they haven't found anyone to fix it. I asked if he knew another hotel or anywhere we could use the pool and he said go to the beach.

Room service, cleanliness, the pool being closed, breakfast, the fact you could smell the mold in the hallway.
I liked that the hotel was in a quiet neighborhood, that was also convenient to everywhere I needed to go to.

We primarily chose this hotel because my granddaughter wanted to swim but when we got there, the pool was out of order and they wouldn’t give us a refund. Also I booked it and chose to pay when I arrived but when I got there to check in, I found out my card had already been charged
The price was good. The room was clean.

The pool was always closed and when asked about why the staff had no idea why. The public areas needed some help with cleaning. The elevator needed a deep clean. Seemed the staff just didn't care.. some rooms had way to many guests staying them.
The rooms were dated but comfortable. The location was great.

We only got towels for 3 of 4 people when we first got to the room They were able to provide a hand towel at the desk when I inquired. There was a towel shortage

The room smelled. There was no shower curtain. The beds were lumpy the swimming pool area had no towels. Not enough towels. There were light switches that didn't work. The door key wouldn't work

It’s a great hotel, but it needs to be remolded badly. Especially the carpet smells in the hall ways. The bathrooms in the rooms needs to have mold strip around them, and the bathrooms in also needs to be repainted from having all that black stuff around the shower lining and walls. It definitely needs an upgrade on this hotel.

The carpet in the hallways needs to be cleaned and/or replaced. Carpet in the rooms was not good but wasn't as bad as the hallways. The breakfast was lacking when compared to complimentary breakfasts at other hotels. What was offered (sausage patties and eggs) were cold the first morning. What was to be hot water for oatmeal and grits was cold water.
This is not a 5 star hotel but we knew that and that the hotel needs to be updated. We were there for bike week and stayed there before. The location was perfect for bike week activities. The staff was pleasant and were very eager to get whatever we needed. The beds were comfortable. I heard others complaining about not having hot water. We had hot water during our entire stay.

I am not sure how often the grounds crew come but the parking lot was overgrown. Add the daily rain and it is easy to slip in the leaves not to mention that the small walkway from the parking lot to the building you can barely get through.

The place is dated had a weird smell had to purchase some air freshener and candles from the Cracker Barrel. Plumbing kept making a high pitched squealing sound like it was trying to release pressure.
It was in a good location. There was plenty of restaurants and a fairly decent night life. It was close to the pier which is why we booked staff was friendly

The carpets and the chairs in the breakfast area were filthy.
