The place looked like it needed a good spruce up. Everything was a bit old and dated. The doors didn't open smoothly and I did have to give my room door a massive shoulder budge every time I wanted to get in. The bathroom door didn't shut and the bathroom shelf had a slope, so needed careful positioning of toiletries. For the price I paid, I would have expected something a bit more usable.

This was a very good location for Chicago landmarks such as the Bean, the Art Institute of Chicago and the Buckingham Fountain.

Pricey. Paid $124 for 2 overnights for parking when we thought it was included. Beds were uncomfortable. No way to reheat food. Fridge was a mini fridge.

Great location. Close walk to everything we wanted to see and to some awesome restaurants. Nice view. Beautiful architecture.

The hallways to the rooms need some updating. The carpet was shabby and lots of peeling paint.

The location is great. Facilities are older but the rooms have been renovated relatively recently. You can tell there are layers and layers of paint on the walls, it's been there quite a while! Beds were comfortable, bathroom was small. Room was quiet, good ac, and the location has a bar and restaurant in house. We only visited the bar a few times for drinks. No on-site parking and Chicago parking is expensive. For the price it was what we expected.

It’s an old hotel and had some issues. The bathroom door didn’t close, the air conditioner didn’t work so the room was always too warm and there was supposed to be an ice machine on our floor, but we never were able to locate it.

It’s an old hotel that has been updated beautifully. The room was was brilliant. It is also conveniently located. The staff were lovely and even let us check in 3 hours early.

It's an old hotel and is looking a little worn in hallways and rooms. Several gnats in shower wasn't great. Didn't appreciate the housekeeping knocking loudly on all the doors and shouting loudly early in the morning.

The location was great and it was reasonably priced for that area of Chicago.

It is very dated. Condition is slightly better than poor. I asked staff to allow me to leave my tri gear a day ahead of my stay and they didn’t respond to emails to Booking.com messages. It was a simple ask that would have saved me a lot of hassle and they couldn’t be bothered.

Location by the start of the Chicago Triathlon. Gabriel was very helpful.

We were on the 10th floor. The hotel is very old, which we like, but all the interior wood has been chipped and painted over so many times that it looks a bit tacky (but not enough that I wouldn't stay again).

Location was great for 4 days in Chicago. Would definitely stay again. Took the Blue line from ORD to Harrison and walked 3/10 mile to the hotel.
