The property needs a good bit of work and the rooms in particular need work.

Needs to be cleaned up! A lot of mold in the room and dirty vents in the bathroom, air conditioning cover was not installed properly, doors would not close unless you slammed them!

The fact that I was lead to believe I was emailing the Comfort Inn but was emailing Booking! According to the desk clerk the text messages and request was between me and booking. She said sometimes they don't get the correct info.

We had a few things in our room that could be fixed. The toilet ran the whole time, and the balcony door wouldn't shut unless slammed. The towel rack was not secure. Overall, the room was really clean, though. I have worked in hotels, so I usually wipe everything down, and it was clean.

We drove 14 hours. We have never been to OBX. The ocean view from our room was breathtaking. The beach access was so nice. The front desk staff was really friendly and inviting. Other staff was also nice.

The place needs some upkeep. Ceilings are stained, wall paint and decor need modernization. No housekeeping during 3 days- asked for but never received replacement towels from the housekeeper (after handing in the existing ones!). The way from the lobby to the rooms is a bit weird- one elevator to the first floor and another elevator to the remaining floors. Main elevator performance is a bit iffy as well- skipping floors, etc. Breakfast was skip-worthy. Waiting in line for so so store-bought tiny muffins or yogurt which was gone and not replaced, no fresh fruit. Scrambled eggs, bacon ran out, sausage patties. The dining room was small and enclosed. Watery coffee from an instant machine- discarded and went to Wendy's. All in all, for a last minute nothing else available situation, the hotel served it's purpose and the beach access offset some of the above woes.

Ocean view rooms- caution- the first 2 floors only look out to the face of the dune. Ice machine on every floor. Right across the street from our favorite restaurant (Miller's). Excellent access to beach- nice views from 3rd and 4th floors. Bed was comfortable to me- too soft for others in the party. Parking was convenient and there was free overflow parking across the street. Staff was pleasant and arranged a room above the first assigned 2nd floor level which had no view to the actual beach.

The breakfast could have been a better selection. I know they have to keep the dunes high to protect properties, but the walk is hard on older people.

The elevator system is pretty bad, hotel needs updating with the price you are paying, my room had water stains on the ceilings and the a/c was constantly running with no shut off which was kind of weird so I’m pretty sure it wasn’t properly working

Coffee was not good in the room or in the machine in the lobby. Thought i booked a room with ocean view. But found out after I arrived that it was not. One elevator was a little sketchy, sometimes it would not be stopped completely before the doors would open. Beach access was not great.

Bed was comfortable and pillows were good. It was a fairly quiet area.

Could use some cosmetic updates. No umbrellas at the pool and not enough chairs. No umbrellas on the deck and broken chairs.

The elevator system is weird, you take one to the first floor and another one to the rest of the floors and they are small. The room was only cleaned once during our stay and we had to ask for towels.

Pool open. The weather was hot.

The location is great with beach access and restaurants close by. The pool was closed which was a huge disappointment. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good.

The beds were very small. 2 adults 1 kid. Very uncomfortable with such small beds. And needs update.

The waffle maker was the best in the mornings.. oh & the onion rings were GREAT!!!..also the bartender dude was very nice and chill he definitely deserves a 2 day weekend instead of every other day. The pool was great.

We had a pet, so we were given a pet room, but it smelled very bad. On the day of our checkout housekeeping knocked on our door multiple times hours before our checkout time.

Location was great and loved how we had a front door and a back door that opened up straight to the beach.
