The bed was lumpy and a little uncomfortable. The person at the desk in the morning was loud and u could hear her talking about another staff going to b fired from the dining area. She was very nice to us but the conversation was very unprofessional.

The parking lot was not very large, so parking was close. Though not an issue for us, there was only one elevator. The shower head is kind of low, so can be a challenge for tall people. Those were not big issues for us. The biggest issue we had was one mid morning we were returning to our room and there was a staff member who was waiting on the elevator when we got off. Weirdly he did not get on when we got off and instead attempted to watch to see what room we were headed to, but my husband stopped and waited for him to enter the elevator. About 15 minutes later, someone was trying to get in our room. My husband opened the door and there was another "guest" standing with the same staff member at our door. My husband told him he had the wrong room and he proceeded to say that he was told that it was his room. As we were leaving a little later, we stopped to ask the staff member for his name and he apparently didn't speak English well and was trying to get the attention of one of his coworkers, but she refused to pay us any attention. Thankfully I speak Spanish and was able to communicate with him and get his name. We went to the front desk to explain the situation and the same staff member who would not acknowledge us came down to the front desk and begin to say that she was too busy at the time. We advised the front desk clerk and housekeeping that as a result of the circumstances we didn't trust the situation and we did not want anyone in our room. Thankfully they complied and the rest of our stay was decent.

Check was quick and easy. The front desk clerk was nice, although she didn't provide a lot of information but she was nice. The property was clean, the room was clean. We bring our own bedding, towels, and washcloths, but as far as I could tell they were all clean. The pillows were super soft and the bed was firm, a little too firm for us, but if you like a firm bed then it will be great for you. The AC unit worked very well and ran quietly. We did not take advantage of the breakfast but, your basic breakfast was available every morning, waffles, eggs, sausages, yogurt, bagels, juice, etc.

We had an issue with the mattress in our initial room, but we were quickly moved to a new room without any issues. Staff were very helpful from the manager to the cleaners in this. The hotel is a little dated, but we do not mind dated as long as it is clean and the price is right...which it was! Breakfast was a little disappointing with the eggs and sausages (what ever happened to real eggs and real sausages....textures seemed off and we wondered if it was tvp or such in the sausage), but the cinnamon roll waffles were great, plus there were other options to try biscuits and gravy, cereals, bagels, yogurt, etc.

The staff are wonderful, friendly, and they work together so well, like family. Staff really made the most positive impact on this stay...thank you staff! The jacuzzi tub is double sized and definitely an upgrade from smaller "jacuzzi tubs" at other hotels. The room was spacious and comfortable. Staff addressed concerns quickly and with such positive attitude. The little shop (food/drink) by the desk was nice to have, and although we did not use the fitness room, it appeared to be very nice...wish I'd had time for it. This may be the best budget option in Dickson.
