How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The only thing i wasn’t fond of was the hotel charged my stay ahead of time before i checked in. Booking did give me an option to pay at the property. Everything else was exceptional!
The room was very nice with the separation inside with the living area and bedroom. Everything was clean and comfortable. Customer service was awesome and the hotel staff decorated our room for my husband’s birthday. Very much appreciated!

When I got there the toilet was stopped up in the room and smelled like poo. And for the 100 security deposit last 2 years it was back on my account within 2 hours of leaving. Now their saying it'll be 3-7 days. Wild.
I liked the people everyone I encountered was nice and helpful

The only thing that I didn't like was only one elevator was avaliable.

It’s due for a renovation and/or a deep clean. Seemed like cleanliness was left to the guests. It wouldn’t take much to make this place a 10 but I’m sure they stay so busy either way it’s not a priority.
Location was perfect for beach trips and dining, very easy to access from the main arteries of Destin.

Need garbage bins in central areas and near elevators.
Located across the street from Henderson State Park ( beautiful beach). Emerald Staye Highway has plenty of shops and food options for all. The hotel itself has 2 pools, a decent breakfast , and friendly staff.

Can't purchase items from hotel shop with cash
Room size was good & bathroom was too. Both were clean & serviced daily. Free parking I like. Opposite Henderson park beach but you will be better to drive. Breakfast available- but was busy. Pool nice

Balcony view turned out to be of a major road and the Gulf in the far distance.
All as expected for a one night stay. Clean and comfortable. What more could you ask for.

Only one elevator was working. That was a pain. Also, coffeemaker in the room was on the top of the cabinet, too high for me to see where to pour the water. I was unable to unplug and relocate, probably by design...
Breakfast was adequate. Breakfast time was good. Pools were nice and clean. Outdoor furniture in good condition. In general Hotel was kept very clean. Bed was comfortable, refrigerator & microwave were operational. Room was spacious.

I liked the location it was close to stores and the attractions I wanted to visit. Friendly staff,easy check in/out. Not noisy. Hotel was clean inside and out. Pools were nice and clean. Breakfast was great, something for everyone in my party.

I visited Fairfield for my birthday weekend. It was my first time staying at a Fairfield and I must say I definitely will stay again . Upon arrival Kerri-Ann was so sweet and answered any questions I had . She even checked in on me to see how my stay was going . I thought that was very thoughtful of her. The hotel itself was nice and clean !!!! You could smell the cleaners when you entered and I like that. The room was nice and to my liking everything worked and I did not have a problem whatsoever my entire stay! I liked how the house keeping cleaned and made the bed while I was out site seeing Destin! I came back and was very gracious to how WONDERFUL! The staff there is . Breakfast was good and my son and I loved the pool! If you're every in the Destin , FL area I highly recommend you staying!! You will love it!

Could use some more or brighter lighting in the front room. It was kind of dark.

Everything was great, staff was nice and friendly. During our stay the outdoor pool was too cold to swim in because of the weather but the indoor pool was too hot because of a sunburn nothing really negative to say other than just our one experience with the pools. We loved the location it was perfect, it was right in the middle of everything but in a place where it wasn't very crowded it was nice to be able to drive 5 to 10 minutes down the road to anything we wanted.
