How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

1. Wasn't satisfied with breakfast foods. The same items were served every morning for four days we spent there. 2. When checking into the hotel, our rooms were given away to other people, but finally got situated

long drive to Carlsbad Caverns
good for 1 night stay. it’s over an hour from Carlsbad Caverns, but there are no better options closer to this NP that looked acceptable.

Breakfast was a little lacking. Biscuits and eggs were less than warm and the orange juice was less than cool, but I know one of their machines were down.
People were great. Front desk check in was outstanding.

The bathroom door takes up so much space that you pretty much need to keep it closed to move around in there.
The room was clean and quiet, plenty of space in the king suite. Mini fridge, microwave were nice. Continental breakfast: eggs, sausage, hash brown. Waffle machine, cereals, oatmeal.

Hot tub was nice but water was a little smelly but our stay was amazing.

You had to turn the air down in order to get rid of the musty smell when you first get into the room
First of all, we were in town for a family reunion. Amanda went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time and a great stay. So did Dawn. The hotel had all the things we needed, including a spa! The breakfast was hot and excellent, something for everyone

Amanda was very welcoming and informative of the different restaurants in town. We loved the freshly baked chocolate chip cookies that were available for staying guests.

The town appears to be half oil field, which was a little intimidating. Not really anything they can do about it.
The front desk lady was so friendly and invited my kids to come down for a birthday party that evening. She was really quick to get us extra bedding and was just a delight.

Coffee not so good.
Great ladies at front reception, cleaning, and in kitchen! Spacious and comfortable room, just the right counter space, microwave and sink for prepping our own simple meals.

I have nothing negative to say about the hotel. The Hotel is fortunate to have employees that know what hospitality, kindness and caring for others is all about. I am glad I crossed paths with such great humans.
The staff at reception were very accommodating and helpful. Mrs. Amanda helped me with my booking because my flight was delayed which made me stranded at Roswell Airport. The following day there was no taxi, uber, Lyft etc. Mrs. Carla went out of her way and drove me from Artesia to Roswell Airport to collect my rental car after her shift. I have been overseas for 22 years and to return to the States and to find this hospitality and kindness these days are hard to come by. Thank you, Mrs. Amanda, and Mrs. Carla for being so thoughtful. Keep being you!

The pool was murky green. I preferred the hot tub this visit.
The location is great. So nice to check in and have refreshing lemon water. Was a good stay.

The only thing that I didn't like was that I wanted to extend my stay and they had no rooms available so I had to move to another property.
This property was excellent friendly staff, spacious rooms. Great breakfast. convenient to shopping (Walmart) and a well stocked Maverick store and fuel stop.

The smell of curry in the hallway. I can't stand that smell and it impacts my desire to stay anywhere that it is detectable.
Breakfast was okay. Like the cheese omelets even if it was only on one of the four days we stayed. Need to cook the sausage another way. They are just "warmed" through, not cooked.
