How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Don't like the short "squatty potties". Breakfast hours too short ( we missed it) and located in separate building so you have to walk long way in the cold to get some food.
Quick check in. Responsive to changes needed in reservation. My original reservation date had to be changed to one day earlier, which they cheerfully did. But then we were given a room with only one bed when we requested two, and then charged for the extra bed.

$30 was little steep for one small dog for one night other than that everything was good.
Good clean room with comfortable bed. Staff was very friendly and had a good breakfast with sausage and eggs.

Shower was barely secured to the wall and shower head could've been soaked in vinegar or replaced. Lids for coffee to go and insulated cups that don't burn your hands would be good. My biggest dislike was that the doors to the outside did not require a key to enter so anyone could've come in. Also noticed two people staying at the neighboring (cheaper) hotel came over to eat breakfast since their hotel didn't provide it. Then they walked back over. Also would've liked to know about the pet fee prior to booking, but I may have missed this.
Breakfast was OK. Price was good. Location was great. We loved stopping in Colby and will again.

Noisy fan in the bathroom.Breakfast didn't have many options.

We had no luck getting the fridge to cool down, but all-in-all it didn't matter that much.
Hotel was right off of the interstate and near several amenities. Price was great, front desk was helpful.

The owners were awesome. When we got to our room our refrigerator didn't work. They were there within minutes to replace it. Very nice, an helpful.

Checked in about 5 PM and room was not yet ready. Was given access to the room to place several refrigerated items into the refrigerator. My most major complaint was that all rooms with king-sized beds were on the second floor, and neither building had an elevator. Carpet on stairs was old and needs replacement.
Bed was comfortable, room clean. Refrigerator and microwave both worked well. Staff was pleasant. Front desk communicated when the room was ready. Spa tub was a bonus.

Initial room had someone who smoked in it could smell but a phone call right away to management and within 2-3 minutes we were placed in a different room that was no issues at all. Thanks! We really appreciated it!
Breakfast was hot and well stocked for quick early out that morning we needed to be for driving.

The AC unit in the room rattled when the compressor kicked on, we were able sleep "ok" but if that wouldn't have been an issue it would have been a great stay. It was room 127 For what its worth.
Updated room with nice beds and clean. Other than the AC unit. For the price it was a good room and we'd stay here again if we needed to.

Desk staff was not friendly or inviting at all. Bathroom toilet stopped up with every use, even toilet paper. Bathroom needs updated.

Heating unit a bit temperamental. . . didn’t heat the room that well. Made toast for breakfast and the jelly packets were completely stale, hard and unusable. Coffee and orange juice were good, though.
Centrally-located to everything. Room was exceptionally clean, comfortable bed, very quiet and good water pressure. Great selection of television stations. The couple that run the motel were both nice and very personable.
