How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The pool is constantly closed and they always say it's because the chemicals are wrong I'm not sure how hard it is to get someone in there that can figure out how to keep the pool running cuz that is a big reason we come there so my grandkids can use it.
I feel the breakfast is very lacking to truly only option is a waffle, one type of cereal or toast. I am familiar with the area I live in Michigan but my favorite place to when I come down there is the Ugo so I know breakfast stuff can be bought for cheap to offer your guest a little more variety.

Breakfast was listed as 6:30-9:30. I went at 9:15 and there were a few granola bars. No coffee. 3 slices of bread. And a juice machine.

Toast and waffles were the choice for breakfast. Nothing else.
Best part of the hotel stay was the price. Not great. Not the cleanest. You get what you pay for.

Nothing, everything was good, except the position of the elevator to the room. But that's really not bad.
The night shift check in lady was so sweet and friendly. I was instantly at ease.

(1) The curtains were installed away from the window so even when fully closed they let in a significant amount of light. I adjusted this installation to fix the problem. (2) The toilet paper roll holder was not anchored so it had to be held in place during use. (3) The entire third floor of the hotel has a strong odor. (4) During my stay, cigarette smoke began entering the bathroom through the vent. I turned on the bathroom fan which addressed the issue. As a precaution, I kept this fan on continuously thereafter.
I liked that the room was quiet. The in room HVAC system and fridge were quiet so I was able to sleep well.

Fitness room advertised does not exist. It is locked and appears to now be storage. Pool was not well maintained. Lots of broken spots on bottom and in bad need of cleaning. I expected small but not the poor condition.
Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and did not have any smells of dampness.

We couldn't flush the toilet. We had to take the lid off of the back of the toilet to flush it.

Way too expensive for the quality of the room. Free breakfast was pitiful. They had waffles and granola bars. Room had an odor.

Staff were sitting in all of the outside smoking areas seats and no one got up to let a patron with a cane sit down. They did not offer at all.

The continental breakfast was a joke, worse ever. Could at least have some fruit, Bagels, English Muffins, Oatmeal Packs. Don't advertise free breakfast with what is currently put out, not even a descent continental breakfast.
Convenient location close to Fwy's. The room was quiet and the beds comfortable.

The toilet paper dispenser was broken and the coffee maker had crusted up cookie stuck to it-that someone just put a cup on the top to cover it up. The breakfast was okay-but even though it was light-many things they were supposed to have were not there-like 2 kinds of juices but only one worked, 2 cereals but only one was filled, then there were no spoons-with a post-it saying no spoons so you had to eat your cereal with a fork. They also said there would be toast, muffins, yogurts-but had non of these. It was a little disappointing-I wished I would have just got another cheaper hotel that didn't have breakfast included advertised and ate someone on my own.
The large jacuzzi tub, though you have to pay extra for it. Bed was comfortable.
