I think it would have been nicer to have a wider variety of appetizers during the reception. There were only two of them plus buns which I don’t eat. The salad and chicken patties were good though. Also, the parking is a little confusing to first-time guests.

There was a manager’s reception on the Wednesday night I was there, Got a couple of free drinks and appetizers, and the bartender was very friendly. For breakfast, the scrambled eggs were cooked super good just the way I like it. Also, my room was just steps away from the dining area and the front desk.

Location was great! Easy commute back and forth to/from Va Tech (straight shot); Good area for shopping and eateries; Staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful; "Rupert" (-I think is the name) at front desk was genuinely nice and friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable

Very comfortable beds, room was clean, super friendly staff. The restaurant food was delicious and huge portions. Breakfast was delicious!! There was an issue with the drain in the bathroom sink and were prompt to fix it and then gave us a 10.00 voucher for the hotel restaurant.

There wasn't a second set of curtains. So, the morning light peaked through too bright and woke us.

We were upgraded to a King suite for free (for no particular reason). That was very nice of the staff to do so.

If you say you have 5 guest they should make sure you have enough towels for them so the customer doesn't' have to walk down to get them. More staff at night

We had somewhere to be early in the morning, and had no hot water in the shower. It was freezing. We called the front desk, and she apologized and made the excuse that they had a lot of people using the showers that morning and to wait a while and try again. Also, we booked this place specifically because of the heated indoor pool, because my daughter was super excited to swim. When we got there, they said the heater was out, and it was miserably cold. We went anyway, but the kids never even got in because it was too cold.

It really made me upset there wasn’t a free, I mean really free breakfast! This is the first hotel we have stayed this trip with no breakfast. The free part was pitiful! 8.95 a piece for two people, McDonald’s can do better than that. For the amount we spent on this hotel the least they could do is provide breakfast!!
