The only thing I didn’t like was the receptionist when I came I at the 3pm. She was very negative and condescending which grounded me for Hawai’i especially at ta resort. I was going to report her but I didn’t want a hassle while I was there. I came for a wedding.

I didn’t think they had breakfast. If they did no one told me about it. I loved the setting and the old hawaaai feel of the rooms was great. Super quiet.

It was very hard getting out because the intersection was so busy, which is not a reflection of the resort. Just a little difficult at times.

I loved the proximity to the ocean and that there was a kitchen.

The cleanliness left something to be desired, in the washroom in particular.

The view for morning sunrise was perfect. It was easily viewed from my balcony as well as from a quick walk to the beach. The location was nice, not too busy and far away from loud traffic.

One lounger on patio was broken. We reported it the first day but they never got it repaired or replaced. Could use a few more lights in the living room - it was pretty dim at nite. Never could figure out how to use the big TV in the living room. Also we went to the office one day during their normal hours and no one was there that entire day so we called security thinking he could get us some paper towels and dishwashing soap but he said he couldn’t. If someone is sick in the office it would be good to at least have the security person be able to help people with supplies if they run out. Overall it was a good stay - just these minor details taken care of would have made it better.

Pool was so clean and so warm. Also nice to have an outdoor shower to get sand off before going into the pool. Kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable, living room comfortable, nice patios off living room and one bedroom.

They did not give us the exact room and location described that we booked and paid for. Our room is stuffy because windows are closed. No AC so it made it worse. We slept in the living room for the first night because bedroom windows are partly broken as in half of them wont open. They credited us a little but not enough to make it a pleasant experience. The cleaning fee is $285 😨 this is the biggest I have seen charged in my stay in Hawaii. The office staff was nice but the room we booked was not delivered.

Convenient location between Lihu’e and Kapa’a. Walkable to waterfront and nearby Lydgate beach park. Nice size balcony to see the sunrise and full kitchen. We were in Unit 204 across from the pool and bbq grills.

Lots of roosters crowing early in the morning. No toaster, storage bowls, spices, coffee, tea, or other kitchen items that we’ve had at other condos. We purchased metal tongs to use at the BBQ. No washer or dryer.

The condos were not air conditioning which was a problem late afternoon when you had to lock up the unit. Cool breezes from the water helped a lot. There was no maid service. Changing towels, chasing down supplies and emptying garbage is on the guests.

Fabulous location, ocean front property and ocean views. Long beautiful beach with two parks located between the resort. Guests were well behaved and no alcohol or foods on the grounds. Swimming pool was always available and not crowded. Low density vacationing. No resort activities on site.

Staff was not friendly. The kitchen was not stocked with even basics like coffee. Oven was dirty and rusty. Lot of roosters, so was not able to sleep after 4 am

There were a few items in our space that could use replacing or repairing, the blinds near the table and the sun blinds/boards that did not move well…took some work to get them in place.

The sound transmitted very easily from the floor above us (we were on the second floor). Footsteps, furniture moving, sliding door to the patio opening and closing were all audible. Sometimes it seemed incessant so if you are a light sleeper, make sure you get a unit on the top floor. Also the mattress was.worn out. I weigh 140 lb and I woke up with the top half of my body in a depression every morning (you can still see the crater after I got out of bed).

Excellent location. We can walk to a safe swimming beach (Lydgate) and if we walked south, behind the gold course, we had a long stretch of beach to walk also. The sunrise every morning was beautiful! It is also conveniently located to the airport and many activities and shopping. The grounds were impeccably and beautifully kept too.

For a usual family it would have been almost perfect, but for us (a couple and 2 separate people) it was a bit inconvenient that everyone had to go to the bathroom through the bedroom; and that we couldn’t get separate bedsheets for the separate people who shared the pull-out sofa in the living room. Other than that it was pretty good.

There is a beautiful lookout to the garden and pool from the living and dining area and the terrace. The ocean is super-close. The apartment is nice and clean, very well equipped - there are also towels for the beach and some snorkeling equipment, toys for kids and even lots of DVD-s for those who ever can be bored of all the surrounding beauty. The entire facility is very well maintained and gorgeous - full of flowers and trees, lovely chickens and cats wondering everywhere.

A little dated. No A/C but had a nice constant breeze . Just bad timing I suppose but had lawn care all day the first day doing tree trimming/shredding and weed eating.

Loved the location! We had an ocean front room and Lydgate Beach was close by and was good for swimming. Also we were able to check in early. Staff was friendly.

The roosters all over the place, but I’m sure that’s beyond your control as they seem to own the island. The roosters themselves are not bad. It’s just when they wake you up at 4 to 5 in the morning when you’re on vacation is not ideal.

It was very beautiful, nice location, ocean views and had everything we needed. I love how there were chairs, a cooler bag, noodles and boogie boards we definitely needed those. It was very quiet minus those darn roosters.

No AC 🙁 I’m sorry but no air conditioning made the bedrooms so terribly hot. Yes, the ocean view (which was incredible) gives the living room a wonderful breeze, but that doesn’t reach the bedrooms which makes it soooo hot to sleep. Needs AC badly.

Just remember, the property is nearly 50 years old and each condo owner maintains and appoints their unit differently. (I would hope, but don't know, that there are at least some minimum standards each unit has to meet.) Anyway, our family had two different units, one of which was pretty contemporary while the other could have used a little fresh paint and new window coverings. There are some units on the property that don't really have ocean views, so make sure you ask. Know you'll hear the roosters before the sun comes up.

My family's not into the big, plush resorts, so this property suited us well. The grounds and pool are beautifully maintained. Our third floor ocean front unit gave us a great view. The kitchen was well equipped with the essentials, and there were a few "bonus" extras such as beach chairs and snorkel equipment. There's a great walking/biking path right out front paralleling the beach, and it's just a short walk to Lydgate Beach Park.

The hotwater value in the shower wouldn't turn so you could only have lukewarm water. The couch had not been vacummed so you got sand on your legs when you sat down. As you had to clean your dishes and take out the trash, thought the $265 cleaning deposit was excessive. when I notified the facilities for a late check in they diidn't put keys in lockbox. Luckily I saw the security guard as I didn't have cell service in the parking lot and couldn't call the number they gave to call.

The location was great with ocean view and beautiful apartment with everything you might need. The security guard was very nice and helpful letting us into the apt after hours and giving us directions, suggestions etc. Place was located within walking distance of a beautiful park with a great cove for swimming without waves and lovely fish to view. The location made driving between North and South shore easy. It was close to shoppinng "Coconut Marketplace" as well as grocery store and less expensive places to eat.
