I wish there were enough chairs for every overnight hotel guest in the reserved area of the lawn.

Considering how crowded it was, I love that breakfast and afternoon tea are reserved for overnight hotel guests only.

These 2 things the hotel cannot control. The foghorn-went off only the first night. It is an old, beautiful home and has creaky floorboards. Didn't detract from our stay at all.

Breakfast was included and amazing. Staff was super friendly and attentive. View is spectacular.

It is a bit pricey. But after including the breakfast and afternoon tea, it is considered reasonable. Some of the rooms are more than pricey. They have many staff. Services are prompt and courteous. All in all, we get what we pay for. The hotel does not have elevators. So the place is not exactly handicapped accessible.

The breakfast is very good, all you can eat but cook just for you. The portions are generous. The staff are very professional and friendly. The front desk staff and parking attendants are more than helpful and friendly. Our room looks out north toward Newport Bridge. It is beautiful day and night. The view from the outdoor sitting area is just fantastic, especially in the evening when the sun is setting. We are fascinated by the namesake lighthouse. All in all, a fabulous experience.

It was my milestone birthday celebration. I always wanted to stay here a night and enjoy dining room tasting menu. The staff were all so great, friendly and helpful. Never been during winter season but so calm & private compare to summer time which was nice. Room was so elegant and clean. They have downtime service. We had an aperitif at the bar downstairs then had dinner at dining room. Very interesting & fine wine paring experience. Food was just so “right” and enjoy little chat with our waiter who is very knowledgeable. Over all we had such a wonderful time. Any special occasion to celebrate, this is the place to be.

Staff was extremely helpful, kind, professional and friendly, from check-in, to dinner/breakfast, to beach facilities, valet parking and in any kind of interaction. Location and premises are wonderful. Great dinner and breakfast. Pricey but definitely worth - we´ll be back!

Thought we were in cottages on water. Totally mislead & ended up in older rooms on other end of property. Right across from porta-potties😳 Still nice view, but not what we booked😠 That’s what we get for booking two rooms! Front desk staff rude. Should be called Chateau NO! No we can’t do that, NO, NO. Extremely inflexible! We spent a lot of $$$ ie 2 rooms, spa services, dinner with pricey wine & not once was there any warmth from the front desk. Guy who checked us in late at night sent us off into the dark with no map. Had to come back for an escort😖 Do not plan on having dinner outside past 6:30! Again, NO! Lots of rules that impede feeling relaxed. Although spa service with Kate was fantastic!

Remote beautiful property and inn. Away from the hustle and bustle of downtown but not far for when you want it. Close enough to the stunning mansions and spectacular cliff walk. Impeccable service, wonderful dinner, breakfast and lunches. Elegant and sophisticated yet comfortable and relaxing.
