I paid in full when I booked, but was then asked for a further twenty something dollars when I checked in and was told I had only paid a deposit and the rest was due now. That wasn’t what I agreed when I paid the price I was offered.

The only small issue was the AC didn’t work super great so it was a little warm. Opening the sliding glass door at night made the temperature cooler and fixed the issue.

The location was fantastic, we didn’t have to drive anywhere the whole time so it was very convenient. The staff were always very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was great.

The room’s soundproofing wasn’t great, as we could hear the elevator and staff working in the hallway.

The location is excellent — right next to the beach and only a 2-minute walk to the boardwalk. Breakfast was decent, but seating was limited

I can't say anything negative about Carousel Beach Inn beside, not having the most comfortable bed.

A very short walk to the boardwalk, which was very convenient for me and the family. The staff was very helpful and informative. The Carousel Beach Inn was a very pleasant Inn to stay at.

I felt compelled to ask the front desk for some Clorox wipes to go over the bathroom a little better. I think they cleaned the sink, toilet, and shower, but neglected to wipe down the door nobs, light switches, and the back of the bathroom door was a bit grubby/gross with drip marks, hair, and dust. It was a great room for us after a little detail cleaning.

The room is directly across the street from the Boardwalk, which is great for me and the family! The rooms are comfortable enough and the continental breakfast is nice. The kids love that they can make their own waffles.

I went down to the lobby and asked for extra towels and trash bags and they told me they will have someone bring them to me and no one ever brought them. The walls in the room were a little dirty. Half of the electrical outlets didn't work.

It was close to the boardwalk and good breakfast.

Because we read reviews prior to booking, they brought their own pillows. The place is a bit dated and is more like a 2.5 star hotel but the location cannot be beat for access to Boardwalk and beach! Its tough to get earlier check in and late check out, but then again it's high summer season.

This was a gift for my daughter and her besties before they start college and move away this Fall. Location was EXCELLENT just across the street from the Boardwalk and beach entrance, so no car really needed for getting around. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean. Free breakfast was good (waffle maker!) Lots of families staying there as well, so it felt safe. They still brought extra security measures per our insistence. Loved the price we got via Booking.com

Our room had one ceiling light close to door and one lamp on one night stand. It really could have used an additional lamp on the other night stand.

The location was perfect for us. We were going on the Roaring Camp train to attend a music festival and the train departs and arrives really close to the Carousel Beach Inn. Ideal location for going to the Boardwalk or beach as well. Staff was great and the breakfast was nice to have.

Our room faces the Boardwalk and it is very n a busy road so it was a little noisy.

The location for the Santa Cruz Boardwalk is excellent. The room are huge! Not fancy but everything you need. Friendly staff.

The beds are on metal bases that are easy to accidentally kick and make weird sounds. Beds themselves were ok to sleep on.

Good location by the boardwalk. Worked for us but I imagine in the Summer it would be hectic Staff is friendly and was a decent clean place to stay while we were picking up our daughter from school.
