Dirty sheets, I booked a 1 bedroom suite and they were trying to go give me a regular room with 1 bed when I booked a suite with a sofa bed

Staff was very accommodating. Relocated to another room due to phone not working and toilet (seat) being broke. Beautiful staff member came to room door and explained it may take some time for maintenance to come and it was the weekend and asked if I preferred to relocate (she already had keys with her). She was very pleasant and always smiled throughout my stay.

I wasn’t given the room we had booked; was given a smaller/cheaper one. Had a little kitchenette that was supposed to have dishes and silverware; we had 2 forks 1 coffee cup and one small drinking cup - that’s it. Shampoo & conditioner dispensers were empty. Shower didn’t have a plastic curtain so the floor got soaked; used almost all our towels to clean it up. and every time I went to the desk to say something there was never anyone there; no matter what time of day/night it was. Not even at checkout.

I was there with my daughter for a volleyball tournament held across the street at the Henrico spots complex - being able to walk there was great. Meant I didn’t have to sit in my car for hours when she had long breaks in between games

The property itself was on the sloppy side. No one emptied the trash cans and there was trash on the ground around the property. Also the coffee machine was not functioning properly the day we left. It just needed coffee and that wasn't addressed before we left. Disappointing.

Our room was a perfect size. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. We had a small kitchenette which was convenient. The complementary coffee was good. See dislikes.

The property was not clean. Hallway carpets are dirty, outside has trash everywhere, Laundry room was not clean. The first room we were given, someone was smoking and you could smell the smoke in the hallway and our room so we were moved. The lobby is not clean and has a cabinet with miscellaneous stuff but it is not clean or organized. Our room was clean but had no soap so I had to go buy some. I asked for it but it was never bought to our room. I like Candlewood properties however this one needs a deep cleaning!

Stayed 2 nights 2 different rooms for basketball tournament. Had to plan for our team’s outcome. First room was rather musty but nothing an open window couldn’t take care of.

The hotel had a weird smell, a lot of trash was located at the end of the hallway, the mattress needs to be replaced and the floors weren't vacuumed in the lobby nor hallway.

The room was nice and spacious, however we could hear the vehicles driving on the interstate.
