The bathroom is small and was unhappy about the tub having hopped hair in the drain Which I should have called on but cleaned out with twisters myself The sink drain was very slow So I'm sure it's clogged as well

This is a basic, no frills, Florida beach front hotel. I refer to this type as "vintage Florida". It's affordable, on the beach, and within easy walking ditance of restaurants, bars, attraciotns, etc.

Our neighbors next door has 2 dogs that whined and barked all night. They kept leaving the room and slamming their door and the dogs would go nuts. Not a good night for sleeping.

The beach location was perfect! The staff were nice and accommodating.

Perfect location for enjoying St. George Island. Easy access to the beach and just a short walk to the commercial area for restaurants, bars, grocery & souvenir shopping.

The bed. The platform jutted out below the mattress causing me to hit my shins several times and it squeaks.

The bathroom had some deep set stains in the tub and toilet bowl. I am sure the housekeeper cleaned but if the stains won’t come out you got to do more. It took away from the overall effect of the clean updated room.

Loved the location, nice pool, room updated, clean and comfortable. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. Comfy bed, big tv, good working a/c, great water pressure in the shower.

Unfortunately, placement of smoking receptacles throughout facility meant smoking was not only at the large deck used to access the beach but also around stairs. (Maybe we had a larger than normal smoking crowd, but we had to walk through smokers each of the night we were there to reach beach for sunset walk.)

Location: excellent Facilities: what’s not like about a pool and a deck overlooking the water? Staff: knowledgeable, responsive, and friendly.

The pool!!! I was here 2 years ago and the pool was very dirty then and was also dirty this time. I have a pool at home. I know what it takes to maintain it and I am 66 years old. I think an investment in new pumps filters etc needs to be made. "Swimmer load" and sunscreen amounts are not an excuse. Proper filtration and cleaning could resolve it.

Someone used the bathroom in the pool making it closed the entire time, but that’s not the hotel’s fault.

Love being so close to the ocean and walking distance from restaurants and stores.

Pool was opened late almost everyday, but if you let a staff member know they will open it for you. Pool was also a little dirty.

Second year in a row staying at Buccaneer Inn. Hands down best value on St. George Island. <$200/night for a beachside hotel room is a steal in my opinion, especially one with a pool. A pool with a 7' deep end, at that. Rooms were clean and staff were friendly. We will be back for year three in 2026! Thank you Buccaneer Inn.

The property feels dated and worn. The bathroom clearly needs updating - you can see it was once nice but is now showing its age. Overall maintenance and renovation would greatly improve the guest experience.

Location is amazing - easy access to the beach then to change perspective you can easily jump to the nearby swimming pool
