Responding to your request. We didn't like the entire nature of business for the welfare of the public at this hotel. Bedding tattered (old and torn; in poor condition). Sheets were unclean. Towels were not presentable for use. We were afraid to sleep in or on the bed making a long and unrestful night. Some other residents appeared drunk, drugged, or casted away from the working society. The building was not welcoming for tired travelers spending money for being away from home. Perhaps there are those with low expectations of their surroundings and themselves who would have no problems. Someone should take pride in the place for all man kind.

Breakfast was not inclusive by the establishment.

Very isolated for shops, bars, restaurants etc. Not a nice area to walk around after dark. Lots of hassle in the streets whenever I tried it. Expensive for what it is.

We had to change rooms 2 times during our 2 day stay: first room's toilet was clogged and the 2nd room doesn't have proper working heat. We were cold for that night because I didn't wanna chance getting another room with anything else wrong with it.

I liked that the facility was 2 miles from the entertainment I was in town for.

We did not stay. Had to find other hotel. The place smelled of weed and cigarettes. I’m allergic!! I called to speak to customer service several times and could not get anyone to resolve the issue. Which was to confirm cancellation.

This was my second time here. I really think this is great value for the location. Both trips I was interested in baseball and breweries and for that, the location can't be beaten for the price. Manager has always been pleasant. Shower pressure excellent.

Facility have no hotel amenities for guess. No complimentary breakfast, vending machines.

(MCC) Weekend I didn't have to pay for parking, I could jus walk across the street to see the parade. Very close to restaurants, interstate, downtown perimeter. This hotel worked best for me for what I was in town visiting. I hope to get this location next year too.

No amenities at all-not even basic ones like a bag in the garbage can! Dead roaches in the fridge. TV reception was horrible. I've stayed in plenty of cheap hotels-this was the worst.

I paid $80 for a run down room with bugs and a broke bathroom door. There wasn't even a coffee pot or anything in the room. The beds were way too small to be doubles. And the bathroom was awful I was scared to even use it everything was dirty and hair was everywhere

The building need fix a lot. The elevator is not clean then I decide to walk the stairs.

Birmingham does not seem to have any center, or any life in general. One would expect to see tumbleweeds roll through the streets and sidewalks. Admittedly, there is some bar life to the south east. And in the center, Jim Reed Books is an absolutely out of place gem.

It was difficult to understand the receptionist, trying to communicate through what appeared to be bullet proof glass. The air conditioner unit was falling apart, but it did seem to work fine. There was not fitted sheet on the bed, and during the night, I was repeatedly bitten on the legs by something in the bed. The shower had only hot water, too hot to use, and could not be adjusted.

I liked the distance from UAB, where I had an early morning appointment. However, the neighborhood was run down and gave the impression it may be dangerous.

It was absolutely disgusting there. There was black mold in the bathroom, the floor was so dirty, we didn‘t even dare to walk without shoes. A lot of sketchy people around. We felt really unsafe and and it was pretty loud at night. Wouldn‘t recommend!!!

Smoke alarm was missing and saw a few roach bugs . They never offered to clean the room during my 4 night stay . Had to asked for towels everyday. Sheets were never changed.

Location and outer appearance gave some pause. (No trash laying about) Some minor maintenance issues ( need toilet paper holder.

It was fairly quiet. The room was very clean and smelled good. Great A/C. All plumbing and electrical were good and operational.

The building should be condemned. I checked in and I was charged more than the Booking quote. The elevator is ancient. The room had gigantic roaches running across the floor and the TV didn't work. I was so angry I left after an hour and the front desk didn't reimburse my money after I told them why I was leaving. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. Drug dealers and pimps stay here
