How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The TV remote didn't work. We were told the maintenance guy went home for the day so it could not be fixed. Plus the toilets were very loud when flushed, almost startling.

The breakfast was terrible. One of the reasons we stayed there was because it stated there was an excellent breakfast. Not only was it not excellent, it wasn't even good! The breakfast area itself was very small and cramped. You could only have three or four guests at a time in the very small serving area and we were all bumping into each other. The selection was VERY limited and I kept looking around thinking I was missing another section of the breakfast area. The toaster burned every piece of toast it cooked, the yogurt was in a large unit like an ice cream dispenser with only one flavor [not individual containers]. The french toast looked like it was made from cheap white bread which was then crammed into a warming pan - limp and soggy, the sausages were mushy [like they had been reheated several times] and the muffins small and gummy. Every single thing tasted like it had been laid out several times before and just re-heated. We tried to gag down our meal but ended up throwing it away and went out to Taco Bell [a block away]. We were shocked! We have stayed at several Best Western's and love them. To have a Best Western serve such low-budget, warmed over, third-rate food was not only surprising but totally unacceptable. Shame on them!
Location was excellent, close to the freeway, easy to get to. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, eager to help

I didn't like the pillows they were too fluffy for me. It was nice otherwise.

Sandy is a great location! Lots of stores & restaurants around and so close to the beautiful mountains. Hotel has a gym and pool, laundry, and comes with breakfast and coffee. Room was very clean and bed was comfy. Front desk staff was friendly, but we asked for recommendations in the area and he seemed to not have any info. Would be helpful if staff was knowledgeable!

There was a homeless man sleeping in where the breakfast was served but other than that no complaints

There was plenty of food and drink for breakfast and the staff were always cleaning. Our room was checked every day. The dirty towels and garbage were take out without me even asking.

One thing to note.. Sofa bed is pretty much not useable..even child can feel every spring on that mattress.
exceeded our expectations for Best Western chain. Clean and comfortable. Not fancy but decent breakfast. Really not much to complain about. Beds are comfortable. Request made over email prior to our arrival was accommodated.

The beds were some of the most comfortable I’ve had at a hotel. The breakfast had many hot and cold choices. My husband(the breakfast eater)said it was good.

Rooms were clean but could have been cleaner
Thank you for having non-dairy milk options at breakfast and tea all day. Even though the hotel isn't too far from the major roads, it is well sound-proofed. Only 20 mins from Alta Ski resort. Includes breakfast! Can't beat the price.
