Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesNothing worth mentioning.
The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They said they genuinely like working there. The theme is like a campground and they decor is fun with lights in the trees, huge fire pit like a campfire and a nice pool. The room was large and comfortable with tables, chairs, enough places for luggage. Bed was ok. Adequate parking, good location, room was quiet. There is a food truck park around the corner.

United StatesThis is definitely a party hotel. Pool & fire pit were very crowded well into the night on a random Wednesday. Never got a chance to check out the hot tub because it was always over filled with other guests. Seemed great if you're a twenty-something, a little less so if you're traveling with children (as we were). That being said we still had a blast and everyone was very friendly. Thankfully our room was at the far end of the hotel away from all the action, so late night noise was never an issue.
Room was great. Loved all the eccentric and thoughtful decorating. Easy walk to the areas we wanted to visit. Staff was extremely accommodating & friendly. Bar was well stocked & reasonably priced. Pool area was cool & open late.

The vibe. Friendly staff. Loved the woodsy decor. Campfire every night. They have a restaurant onsite. The pool was decent size, cool art work and next to the canteen! And the location is excellent.

United StatesWish the pool was able to stay open later, but I understand it’s a city ordinance
I’m a brand strategist and designer - this place was so thoughtful down to the smallest details. From the smell when you walk into the lobby to the lil sleeping-bag-esque throw blankets on the bed. Hell, even the pillows were as white and fluffy as a marshmallow. So cute. So intentional. So cozy and clean. A++

United StatesWhile the bar easily provided drinks while at the pool, food was more difficult to get.
Checking in was quick and simple, and the staff was very welcoming. Our room was clean and nicely decorated with plenty of room to move around. We spent some time in the pool which was really nice and they even had some music for us to enjoy. The campfire once nighttime set in was a nice touch. The overall vibes were excellent and we really enjoyed our stay. Will definitely stay again and recommend to others.

United StatesAs this is a remodel of an old local inn there are still some kinks being ironed out; our AC worked but started squeaking loudly in the middle of the night and we had to turn it off but it worked again the next day just fine. As everywhere, they are low on staff and so their Canteena was closed the days we were there. Hotels cannot control everyone and everything, our vehicle smelled of smoke the next day due to people smoking in the parking lot.
The Campfire Hotel is a sweet haven of the "makers district" in Bend. The remodel is such a cute and fun theme. The hotel has a great pool and spa, and they offer a lot of places to hang out on the property. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is near Downtown Bend and waterfront; only a few minutes drive and a 20 minute walk if you feel comfortable walking in the industrial area for a bit. My husband and I stopped here for 2 nights on our Honeymoon and they comped us a mimosa bucket to help us celebrate. It was a great experience!

The space is welcoming and cozy (Giant communal fire pit) and encouraged interaction with other folks. A breath of fresh air and a unique environment!

United StatesI wanted to give the hotel a perfect review but there are a couple things they could work on. First of all, the shower pressure was excellent and I liked how high the showerhead was, but the showerhead was in a fixed position. Every single time I showered there I would get blasted with cold water intermittently during the shower. With the showerhead, not being movable, there was no way for me to get out of the cold water stream. I just had to handle it until it got warm again or get out of the shower. I have a ton of hair so I can't just get out of the shower in the middle of washing my hair, that stuff has got to get rinsed out. Secondly, I appreciate that they don't clean the room every day. That seems like a waste to me. They told me at the front desk to let them know if there was a day I'd like to get my room cleaned before 11 AM that morning. So on Sunday morning at 8:15 AM I walked over to the front desk to ask to have our room cleaned that day and was told that because there were so many checkouts that they can't clean my room that day but would clean it the next day instead. Well, the next day was one day before we were leaving so it didn't really make sense. Also, our trash cans were running over, we were out of toilet paper and we needed new towels. So I ended up getting trash bags, towels, and toilet paper from reception and bringing them back to the room and then bagging up all of our trash and putting it outside the room. It wasn't the end of the world, but if they weren't available to do the room on a specific day, it would've been nice to get a heads up. We could've gotten it done the day before. Lastly, as much as I liked the aesthetic of the room, the bedframe is oversized and juts out just a little bit. It's dark brown, and the room is kind of dimly lit (nice aesthetic). I smacked both of my knees on that bedframe on different days and my man also smacked his knees on it.
Great branding! I love the thoughtful design, it is fun and inviting. The pool was super fun, we went every day. The have a pool party on Sundays that seems to attract a lot of locals with DJs, was a really good time. We found the beds to be super comfy. There are a lot of really cute common areas to hang outdoors with your friends and family. These areas are well maintained and on theme with their branding. They’ve also got really nice bikes available for rental. We stayed for 5 nights. The location was very close to all of the main areas of town, just a 5 minute drive by car, not quite walkable because of a busy road you would need to cross. Enjoyed the two breakfast food trucks outside, they serve tasty burritos and coffee, but only Tuesday through Saturday.

United StatesThe check in staff seemed put off by the fact that I had trouble finding our room. It was across the street behind a restaurant and trees and hard to see. If there was signage it would have helped a great deal, but instead the gal acted like I was an idiot. The area is not the best, we went down an alley behind the hotel and it was clearly a homeless camp. There was no housekeeping services during our stay for 3 nights. We had to go get our own towels and take out our trash. This was the norm during Covid, but most places have gone back to providing housekeeping services. Not a big deal, but we had just stayed at a Hyatt for the previous 3 night for less $$ and our room was cleaned every day. There was loud music at the pool on our 2nd night, it went on for a LONG time. Would I stay again? Probably not due to the area that was the biggest negative.
The hotel is cute with a camp theme. The room was clean, I liked that there was a table and chairs in the room as we had breakfast there in the mornings. There is a Safeway across the street and we picked up breakfast burritos for 4.50 and a 4 pack of muffins for 5.00, There is in room coffee as well as free coffee in the lobby. The room also had a microwave and fridge so it made our stay comfortable. We had a comfortable king bed as well.
