Spiders would pop out of nowhere, from the ceiling, walls and bathroom. The place did not have any type of cash and vending machines were broken. I walked 2 blocks down to the nearest 711. Place seems to be outdated and I'm more upset that I paid so much for low quality. Breakfast could be way better for pricing. Above all, the housekeepers and breakfast staffing were very kind and sweet. Oh and by the way you have to pay for parking $19 a day and $100 deposit when you check in.

Our door wouldn’t close the first night, we asked reception as we were 3 girls travelling, to fix it for us before we slept, and nothing was done. We were on the ground floor, and ended up having to push a table up against the door to ensure no one could enter. However, the next morning, we asked the female worker at the desk, and she was much more attentive and told us it would be done ASAP

It’s not worth paying for the breakfast there. The breakfast room is quite small and can feel overcrowded depending on the time. Strangely, they only serve eggs on weekends, and during the week the options are very limited.

The cleaning staff were very kind. The mattress was comfortable, and the place was well located, although we had a car to get around.

The breakfast is consistently an issue. Every time we stay here, something is always missing or not replenished in time. For example, yesterday at 8 AM there were some items available that were missing today at 7:20, but then showed up again around 8:30 — and we had the same experience a year ago. It seems the breakfast is not restocked consistently.

The value for money is well balanced. The room and overall experience match the price, and that's why we’ve returned multiple times.

We had problems with our AC unit. It wasn't working and no one came to fix it. They gave us another room but but it only had one bed and the room was smaller. It' was unconfutable in our room and we had to share a bed. The reservation was for two beds. I didn't like that the AC didn't work and we had to move to a smaller room and we had to share a bed.

I liked that the location and it was was clean.

It was updated at some point, but overall had elements of the past. The bathroom wasn't very well maintained. The shower tub faucet was caked with scale and was hard to close to push the water to the shower head. I thought the toilet wasn't clean, but was just old. Had to be careful with the sink faucet or it would spray water out of the side. After a shower, I picked up the bath mat and it was dirty from the floor not being cleaned well. The location was a bit of a hike to the Gaslamp district and the harbour. 10-15 minute to Gaslamp area, 20 minutes to the Harbor. Breakfast was just carbs.

Had a spacious room with 2 queen beds and a desk. It also had a microwave and fridge. It was located in a quiet part of town. A 20 minute walk to Balboa Park.
