The bathroom floor especially needs renovation. We felt we were led to believe the room had air conditioning it did not. But they did leave a fan. The lawn and flower bed area with the view of the river could use a little work to make it a beautiful spot to sit.

We liked being able to see the river from our room. It was not far from town and a store. It was less expensive than other places in Astoria. We had a coffee machine.

My sister and I spent one night at the Astoria Crest MOTEL that was fine.

The layout of the room was bizarre: Upon opening the main door, one is immediately greeted by the toilet and the shower! (Both of which could have been a bit cleaner.) I thought the property was misrepresented in a few ways: It was named Astoria Crest HOTEL on Bookings.com sources, but it is a MOTEL; the difference in wording creates a different expectation. I made my reservations based on the HOTEL moniker, so I was expecting a higher-quality place. Also, the photos on websites are flattering, creating an image that doesn't quite match reality.

A variety of breakfast foods was provided, and the choices were good. I'd give the breakfast satisfactory marks. The staff was friendly, informative, and efficient.

This property is a bit dated.

Great, friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful view; fun to hear the honks from the sea animals.

Our room had an off-putting musty smell. The room was clean but it wasn’t anything special for the price. Renovations were happening while we were there, so I think the rooms will be updated soon.

    Amazing view!

The inside of the motel could use some remodeling.

I really liked the view from the motel. It was also one of the cheaper options as my job was going to reimburse so I have to be considerate with the price.

I did not have a dog, but since I had made a late reservation, I ended up in a dog-friendly room. It had no view at all. It had no AC either, but the motel did supply a good box fan, and the rooms was clean. Because of the very hot weather though, the room did not cool off. Obviously, this was not their fault. So, next time I'll just reserve earlier. :-)

The view is terrific for the rooms facing the river. The breakfast was very adequate, with boiled eggs for protein and a good selection of yogurt, muffins, cereals, etc. Lots of juices and coffee.

The room was clearly older. There was an odor when you walked in. The furniture on the balcony was rusted.

The view from the room was beautiful. The room was clean and it was more affordable than other hotels in the area.

The hot tub is wide open in the junction of the 2 wings of the motel, so you are in view of everyone all at once.

The view of the river and bridge. Million dollar view. Out of caution after tsunami warning, we bailed from low-lying Long Beach Peninsula to safety of Astoria Crest. We got not only peace of mind but a stunning view as well!

The decks have clear glass dividers between them so if you and your neighbors are on the deck there's no privacy.

The view was absolutely beautiful and it was quiet away from the noise of the town, however it was a short drive into town and an even shorter drive to the beginning of the Riverwalk trailhead which was perfect. You can walk the trail into town and stop at stores, museums and restaurants along the way.

The bed was way too soft, and was a small queen in our opinion. The room has limited outlets, not on both sides of the bed-that was a little inconvenient.

The bed felt like a high quality air mattress. Not very comfortable. The lay out of the room is odd, right when you walk into the room is the bathroom. The first thing you see is the toilet.

The coffee wasn’t bad, the had bagels, muffins and apples. Nothing fancy.

No AC. Room was hot but staff did give us an extra fan which helped. The deck would have been better if there were dividers between the rooms.

It would have been better with some sausage or other kind of meat.

No AC but that’s not usually a problem at the Oregon Coast and some of the power outlets weren’t in working order or worked sporadically

Building was older but very clean, great location, and the staff was friendly and helpful
